you guys all have huge boobs, lol. I started with a 32A (mosquito bites) but am up to about a 34b now...and even that is starting to get a little tight. Is there anywhere that makes a maternity bra that grows with you cuz that would be excellent. I'm mostly just buying sports bras and wearing them all the time because they are so comfortable, and I dont have to dress up or anything for my job.

Aturn-even though I'm only working part time I cant wait to be done with work and just stay home and be a housewife. Are you planning on staying home after that babies arrive?

HRT-I went off of the met right around 5 weeks. My RE said since I was on prometrium I didnt really need the met.

Thats the fun part. I have worked at this hospital since 2002. However, when I changed jobs within this same hospital this past January, they changed my classification and I lost all of my previous benefits and became a "new hire".
So I am under a 6 month probation period where I am not eligible for disability or paid leave. It's awful. I've been trying to fight HR but with no luck.

hsuter: Yeah, I'm in the same camp as you with regards to BB size. I was between an A & B cup before I got pregnant, now I am definitely a B. I know this is TMI, but my DH is very excited that they are getting bigger. :-) BTW, congrats on the free ultrasound and finding out the sexes of your babies. One of each is perfect!

Refrain: That totally stinks about your benefits at the hospital. It really doesn't make any sense to me why they would consider you a new hire. You simply changed "departments". Good luck with the HR battle!

heidi--yeah on finding out the sexes (most likely!!)! And yeah for checking that nothing was wrong. Yeah, you have to take some of the due date threads with a grain of salt--some people are very alarmist. Which is why I like our thread over here--most of us seem to be pretty level headed!

Bras--I was at Target the other day and they had some maternity bras on sale for like $3.99 and 7.99 and stuff. I didn't try them on or anything, so I don't know if they're any good, but it might not be a bad place to try. All I've done is get a new, bigger regular bra. I was 32C and I got a 34D. It's still a little big, but it is SO much more comfy than my old one. I'm just glad my belly has finally gotten bigger so my bbs don't look SO gargantuan.

refrain--that's lame about your job. Can you go on leave after those projects are due? May isn't really that far away...

Aturn--sounds like a lovely life right now!

As for me...story of my life...SO TIRED! My animals are driving me nuts and with my husband working nights I have to deal with them all myself. It is draining EVERY ounce of energy that I have. PLUS, I am a very active, independent person, and my husband just doesn't get that I can't do everything that I used to (I mean, I still can, but it's hard and uncomfortable, etc.)...like this morning he called when he got home from work and said he had hoped that I would have remembered to take the trash out to the curb. I was like, I just can't do things like that anymore. I think I'm going to start be even more 'helpless' now just to drive the point across that I can't do as much as I used to.

sheepie-I feel your pain about your husband. I too used to be superwoman and my DH is having a hard time with it all. I feel really guilty about saying this but....

When the doctor told me that she was ultra concerned about our little girl etc. it really scared him and he finally came around. For two weeks I didn't have to cook or clean and he didn't make me feel guilty about sleeping all the time. He was like super-mega-DH, very caring very attentive.
Now that I saw the high-risk lady and she said that things looked great, my little girl has caught up etc. He's slipped back to his former self.

Ex. 1 - We had someone come clean the house yesterday (which is a treat) but things need to be done before cleaning people come. So I had to pick up all the laundry, wash the sheets, put away things in the kitchen and bathroom, all while he was watching the baseball game.
Ex. 2 - Sunday night he wanted to go to BabiesRUs and Ikea, right then. We had just gotten back from 4 hours of travel in the car and my g-ma's funeral. But we went. I was exhausted and having a hard time keeping up his walking pace. As we pulled up to Ikea I said, I have to have something to eat! (it had been almost 8 hours since I ate anything) and he started lecturing me on how I should have eaten when I was at the house and we might as well just go back home instead of going to Ikea. I was like, there's food inside Ikea, I just need something...he just rolled his eyes and was just so put out that I didn't get up and fix myself something before we left the house.
Ex 3 - Our backyard hasn't been mowed in 3 months. Luckily we live in a town home so no one sees it, but none the less, I've asked him to do it repeatedly (it used to be my sole responsibility until 3 months ago). Last night I was on the phone and I mentioned that I really need him to get the lawn mowed when he gets back home, its really bad. His remark..."you know, you're not the only one who's tired, I'm very busy and tired as well." <eye roll> that boy doesn't even know what tired is....

ok...that was a ramble. sorry. He's a very good husband. I just resent the fact that he only gets super-attentive when he thinks something is wrong. When things are going well, he expects me to do so much.
(He's also out of town right now, so I'm probably subconsiously mad at him too )

Sheepie - I'm not far along at all but I'm already having trouble walking my dog cause I'm so tired all the time. DH has been helping out but not as much as I'd like. I can't even imagine how hard it is for you to run all your daily errands.

Refrain - I really hope you're able to work something out with HR. Can you get a department head to send an email or something?

Hsuter - congrats on having a boy and girl! That's so great that you got a free ultrasound.

Things are the same with me, just praying for the day that I can eat normal food again. Everything grosses me out.

Heidi - I wish I could stay home full-time when the babies come! It's my dream. DH and I have been through our finances back and forth, but it just makes things alot easier on us if I could stay working partime (20 hr/week - 2 10 hour days - hopefully a Sat. and one day a week). The reason I need to try to work is b/c I carry the health insurance (very expensive at his work) and my income will help keep our savings on track and the babies college funds financed. So (sigh) I have a feeling I am going to have to keep working part-time.

Refrain - That totally sucks about your HR situation... in fact it totally sounds like B.S. to me that they are doing this to you. Good luck fighting them. I am kinda surprised your DH isn't being as supportive as you need him to be. I mean, you are pregnant w/ twins for goodness sakes! I really hope you do not intend to go out and mow the grass.
---Also, about your benefits, does it mean that you are not going to get a paid maternity leave? (b/c of the 6 month probation period)

Sheepie - You just become more "helpless" girl! Hello, DH, pregnant wife here?

Hi Ladies! Dh and I just got back from our vacation it was nice and relaxing but I'm definitely glad to be home. Now I'm just catching up on laundry, how fun!

There's no way I could read all the personals but I just wanted to say congrats to hsuter for finding out the sex. How nice, one boy and one girl! I also see there was another BFP while I was gone, congrats hrtinz (not sure if that is right).

refrain---I hear you on being frustrated with your hubby. I feel like Ive reached my wits end too. I think most of you know my DH was laid off about 3 weeks ago. Well, he has another job, but he doesn't start until Monday. So he literally has been home every. single. day. even though I am still working 40 hours a week. Thats fine, but he hasn't helped out anymore than normal---he does the dishes but thats it! If I was home from work every day this house would be spotless, but he has been using his time to play playstation and hang out with his less than stellar friends. Gets on my nerves so bad.

Evyn- You almost want to say...well boys will be boys...but that just means we're accepting it!
I just don't get it. What is it in their brains! If I see a messy house I think, I need to clean this. If I see a laundry pile, I think, I need to do this laundry. If its 7pm, I think, we need to eat dinner.
Why do some men's brains just think...tv...playstation...sports...sleep.
I blame my DH's mother (and she agrees with me). She never made her boys do stuff around the house b/c she saw it as her job, since she was a stay at home mom. So unfortunately, they just assume things magically get done.
About the whole lawn thing. For 4 years, I don't think my DH ever realized I mowed it. I think he just thought some magic fairy would come or that grass just didn't grow longer than 3 inches in our backyard.
Same with laundry. I don't think it ever occured to him that his boxers didn't just magically get put back into his underwear drawer. Now that I'm not doing much laundry anymore...he says, "hey, I don't have any boxers?!?" one night (i smile in my head thinking, yes dear you don't, now do some laundry) but what did he do...he went out and bought more. <slap forehead>

Yes, men can be so frustrating. My DH's famous line is "Stop nagging me!" Well, if you would have done what I asked after the first three times I asked you nicely then I wouldn't have to resort to nagging! It's not like I'm asking him to alphabetize the pantry or something. Just make sure your Reef flip flops make it to the closet instead of slipping them off where ever you think, like right after he walks into the front door.

Thanks aturn and hsuter for your input on my met question, I seem to be over-thinking every decision lately! Hope everyone's Thursday flies by! :-)

Hrt--I was on Met2000mg when I got pg and stayed on it for the first trimester. The day I hit 12 weeks, I was OFF of it and never been happier

About husbands...UGH, I know! I think my husband had the same upbringing as yours refrain--mom did everything (or the maid). And what's funny to me, though, is that he's actually better at laundry and cleaning things than I am. But, like today, I started the dishwasher right before I left for work...I KNOW FOR A FACT it will still be full when I get home. It just NEVER crosses his mind to empty it. And it's annoying, too, because I work a full 40 hour work week, but since he's a doctor and works anywhere from 80-100 hours a week, my 'full' week doesn't 'count' as much in his eyes. I understand he works longer and harder hours than I do, but still, I work FULL TIME...and he doesn't do the dishes, which bugs me too. And I have to nag for DAYS to get him to change the kitty litter, and when I ask him if he would mind taking the dog outside (we don't have a fence yet, so we have to take him), he drags himself up like I'm asking him to do some major task.

Oops! Where did all that come from?

Are you guys all pulling a prank on me and describing my DH? Or are we married to the same person? The only thing my DH does is his own laundry, which ends up piling up the sky. I've really slowed down lately and the place is a complete mess. Men really have no idea how spoiled they are.

Evyn- I just realized you are having a girl!! When did you find out? I feel like being gone for a week I miss so much. Were you wanting a girl? I think I remember you saying you hoped it was. I'm kind of hoping for a girl but of course I would be happy with either. There are no baby girls in my family so I would like to have one.

Anyone else had a cold while pregnant? It seems like everytime I go on vacation I come back with a cold. The only thing I have taken so far is Tylenol. I left work early today and I'm about to go take a nap. My nurse told me I could take Benadryl, Mucinex, Tylenol, or Tylenol PM. Have any of you ladies taken anything besides Tylenol while pregnant. Of course I'm still on met and prom. but other than that I haven't been taking anything until the other day I took my first Tylenol. I guess I figure I could suffer some but I don't want to hurt my baby. Any thoughts? I know 1st time mom paranoia has set in
