My Mood: Points: 18,082.91 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 18,082.91 | Sheepie/Cali-oh to sleep....how wonderful it would be. I know I'm only 28 weeks, but like I said, I'm measuring the size of a 33 weeker, so I kinda feel your pain. I'm actually pretty concerned about how I'm going to make it all the way to 37 weeks. I mean, as uncomfortable as I am now, I'm not going to be able to move then, and sleep...forget it.
Sheepie-Good luck with the receipt. So funny the little tests we're always giving our husbands that they never know about.
13-I had really bad heartburn from week 10-18 and then it just went away. I'm waiting for it to come back, but hoping it doesnt...right...
Have fun at the baptismal party, I love those gowns the babies wear. I should probably start looking at gowns for my little ones. We're methodist though so no long mass for us, gotta love those Methodist...seems like our only goal in church is to beat the Baptists to IHOP (j/k).
Evyn- good luck with your talk with your DH. Remember what the therapists on TV say....Try to not get to get too upset when you're talking to him and state nothing but facts and how they make you feel (HAHAHAHA, sorry, a preg. conversation not getting emotional, I could never do it).
Oh, and my DH got home today...funny b/c as soon as I saw him when I walked in the door and he smiled at me, I completely forgot how mad I was at him. I'll save the lecture/nagging for another day. Right now I just wanna snuggle.
Talked to boss today, she's going to let me work from home for 4 hours a day and come into the office for the other 4. So that's really nice. Now I just have to be disciplined enough to work those 4 while I'm at home and not sleep through them. eek.

My Mood: Points: 68,009.66 Bank: 1,099,451.68 Total Points: 1,167,461.34 | Well, I couldn't talk to DH about "stuff" yesterday. He called me at work with some bad news. I think most of you know my DH was laid off work about 3 weeks ago. It took about a week but he got another job. He was scheduled to start on Monday with Labcorp. Well, they called him yesterday and rescinded their offer. They told him that they had found a traffic violation from 2005 and that was against their rules (as he would be sometimes driving a company car)....DH and I are pretty much in shock. I was crying like a baby at work. He pretty much wasted 2 weeks of not even looking for a job because he thought he had this one...he was supposed to start in 2 days! Emotionally and financially we are just not in a good place right now. Its just so hard and stressful...we planned this pregnancy, DH was making great money, and it seems like all our plans are falling apart ever since I got pregnant. Im just down about it and might not feel like posting much.

The same thing happened to a friend of mine when she was pregnant, her husband lost his job and she was self employed so didn't get paid anything for mat leave. Hang in there! Things will work out in the end.

I guess on the bright side, at least this didn't happen after the baby was born. Maybe he can get a job that he doesn't like, temporarily, just so you guys don't have to stress, while he looks for something good. Tell as many people as you can that he's looking, when my DH lost his job years ago he got a lot of interviews just through people that we know.
I hope it all works out soon!

Nothing new to report. I am feeling awful. I can hardly move around and sleep. My hips are killing me at all hours of the day, and I'm starting to wonder myself wheither I am going to be able to hack it out till 38 weeks. I know it's awful of me saying it, but it's how I feel. I measure like I am 36 as of two weeks ago, so I don't know what I am measureing now but I figure it's like I'm 38-39 weeks. Ahhhh! Sorry about the complaining.... and worst, Alexa (baby B) has decieded that her feet belong on top of my righ rib cage. She just kicks around in there on top of them, and they hurt so bad. I push her little feet back down, but they just move right back up after a few mins. I think I might start crying here in a second so I think I'll get off now.

Evyn-I'm so sorry about dh and the job situation. I agree with Rose maybe he can find something temporary until a better opportunity comes along.
Refrain-thats great that your boss is letting you work from home 4hrs a day; I would definately have trouble working from home! Can I ask what kind of bedding you have bought? I was wondering if you bought a gender neutral set for both or two seperate bedding sets. We think we've found some we like...they are two seperate sets but would match well together.

My Mood: Points: 7,182.59 Bank: 46,772.67 Total Points: 53,955.26 | Evyn...Ahhh I am so sorry to hear about all this stress. You're right, this is such a hard time for all this to be happening. What keeps me going is I know that every down slope in life has a big up slope coming. I know everything will work out and it's hard to see right now. I'll be thinking of you. Sorry you have to go through this.
Aturn...You sound so uncomfortable. I can't even imagine. You're full term size now and still have a ways to go. You are doing such a great job with keeping those babies in there so long. Good Job! If a twin mom makes it to 38-40 weeks what is that compared to a singleton? Like 45 weeks or something? I hope your little girl finds a new place for those feet. ((Hugs))
Refrain...That's funny that you said you were all mad until you saw DH and then just wanted to snuggle. That's how I am too, especially while being pregnant. Sometimes I just need him and everything else can wait. It's great to hear that you can work at home for part of the day. You can do it, you sound very self disciplined. Sorry you are getting uncomfortable. I couldn't imagine carrying 2 babies in me right now. You're doing great!
I had the 2nd hospital tour yesterday and now I don't know where I want to deliver. The first one was pretty nice and we had a personal tour with a great great tour guide. It seemed more intimate. The nurses we talked to were so great and the hopital has a great rep. The post partum rooms aren't very big and pretty hospital like. The 2nd one was really nice but since we were doing a group tour we didn't get to talk to any nurses and it is much bigger and busier. This hospital also has a very great rep. The post partum room is much bigger and the view is from the 7th floor so I like that. So I am stuck! Any advice?
We also had the baby class yesterday and got lots of tips and info. Makes me feel more confident that we will be able to do this. lol
I hope everyone is feeling better and able to enjoy their Sundays.
~Amber

Points: 50,971.54 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 50,971.54 | Refreain – Congrats on getting to work 4hrs from home. That’s fantastic! I know you’ll be able to do it. Glad you were able to snuggle with DH. LOL about Methodists trying to beat the Baptists to IHOP! I love it.
Evyn – I’m so, so sorry to hear about DH’s job situation. That’s so unfair! I don’t know how a company can just up & pull an offer like that… Hadn’t they done the background check before they made the offer? I know you don’t want to dip into your emergency fund, but if this isn’t an emergency I don’t know what is. Do what you have to do for now and keep holding out hope – there’s a great opportunity out there! Hopefully it’ll show up before you know it. (Oh, and ITA with Rose – network as much as possible!)
Aturnbg – Sorry to hear you’re so uncomfortable. I can’t believe they want you to go to 38 weeks. That seems nearly impossible! Wishing you a better day tomorrow.
CaliGirl – If it were up to me, I’d deliver at the more intimate hospital. I had DS at an intimate hospital and ending up being there for 6 days. The hospital staff was phenomenal! They took such good care of me and I actually felt pampered. (Which is amazing, given what I’d been through! lol) And trust me, you won’t be up and about enough to really enjoy that 7th floor view. Glad you enjoyed your baby class and feel more confident!
What a weekend! We got a call yesterday morning that DH’s grandma had a stroke and is in the hospital. So scary! Fortunately she’s doing well. It affected the frontal lobe so she has some memory/procedural type issues but no paralysis and no real memory loss. At first she thought it was 1989, but now she’s with it and knows who everyone is and can have a conversation. What a relief!
So DH skipped the baptism last night to go see his grandma. I went with DS and had a great time. He sure made an impression at the reception! Today we all went to the hospital to visit, then stopped by the ILs’ for a visit.
Mix all that in on top of regular weekend cleaning, errand running, DS’s tumbling class, making curtains for the dining room… It’s been busy! I’m ready for bed already. And I’m definitely looking forward to my OB appt tomorrow!
Hope everyone had a good weekend!

Evyn - I'm so sorry for all the stress you're going thru! Sending good vibes that the job situation will be resolved soon.
Aturn - sorry for all the discomfort -- I can definitely relate to feet in the ribs.
Refrain - congrats on working from home & hope you're able to get more sleep. I was highly irritated when she said it, but it turns out my OB was kind of right when she said my lack of sleep during the last trimester was prepping me for baby. I have been much better adapted to sleep deprivation than DH, which is handy since it's my boobs on patrol, LOL!
13 - hope DH's grandma continues to improve!

I know I must be stressed out b/c I keep having the worst dreams ever. A couple nights ago I dreamt that the baby had died and I delievered her in the toilet. Then last night I dreamt that my stomach got so huge it split in half and there was blood all over the place. its really disturbing. Are the weird dreams a pregnancy thing?? Hormones related maybe?

My Mood: Points: 26,969.56 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 26,969.56 | Evyn--I had some majorly weird dream, especially fairly early on, like maybe a little before where you are right now. I dreamt my dog died, my cat died (and VERY realistic dreams)...I'm sure it's partly stress, but also regular pregnancy too.
Aturn--sorry you're so uncomfortable! Yeah, it must be so tough to have 2 in there.
Amber--My choice (without knowing much, lol) would be for the first hospital. It seems like personal attention and intimacy trumps bigger rooms and views. Unless you know that you'll be in the hospital for a while or you know you'll have large amounts of people visiting. Then #2 might be a better choice. Are they both about the same distance from your house?
13--sorry about DH's grandma, but glad she's doing better. My grandparents all died so long ago that it's so foreign to me that people still have theirs as adults!
Me--not much going on. Went to a couple baby stores this weekend and didn't buy much. Bought a diaper bag, a nightlight, and we had a coupon for free Robeez, so we got a pair of those. I was complaining last night to my mom about how I feel pretty set on the non essential items, like the room's about ready, have lots of clothes, etc...but that I don't have (or really know what I need) in the way of 'medical' type stuff, like things for the diaper bag. The practicla everyday stuff...and then she started crying because she was sad she couldn't be out here to help with the little stuff like that. Ahhh, mom, it's okay!
