Thanks for all the sympthy ladies! I feel a little better today. I am normally such a positive person, but everyone has their momment, I guess.

Sheepie - I love the bedding set you found! To bad I also already have mine. I do not think I would have spent that kind of money on two of them though, that's the only thing that kinda sucks about twins, you have to have two so you have to try to keep the expenses down!
I also need a few practical things also, so I know what you mean. I still do not feel like I have enough of the baby toys for the girls either. I'm just not sure what to get them. My sister told me just to wait and see what I get after the girls are born and she said she may have some stuff for me to that her DD is done playing with. We' see.

Evyn - The dreams are a combi I bet, between the pregnancy and the stress you are under. I have a reoccuring dream that I am pregnant in the dream and a some point the babies are gone, just gone, my belly is flat agian. It's crazy! Try to just relax when you can. I'm so sorry about the job situation. Things will turn around soon.

13 - So sorry about DH's grandma! I'm glad that she seems to be doing better though. Good luck at todays OB apt!

Caligirl - I'm happy you like both hospitals you tour'd! I wish I had a choice on where I could go. W/my insurance and the OB office I visit I only get one choice. Don't get me wrong I like the hospital, but it would have been nice to be like you and visit both and decied. I"m sure you'll make the right decision.

Nothing to new to report. I have a OB visit on Wednesday. I'm wondering what my B.P is like. I'm starting to get that whole hands and feet swelling thing. I'm not sure if it's related, but it's sure annoying. Oh well.

sheepie I swear we were separated at birth sometimes. Before I clicked on that link, I thought...I bet its the bunny set. That set is at the top on my "if I can't find anything better, I'm getting that one" list. I saw it on our last trip to babiesrus too (with crazy employee lady).
The only thing that is keeping me from going to buy it..is that I saw 3 other ladies with it in their cart. I know i know its babiesrus and there is a limited selection...but I'm trying to find something a little different than everyone.
My MIL wants to make us a set, but I'm so afraid...what if I hate it?

On Saturday my DH & I went to the "Life with Baby" class at our hospital. Oh my lord. Warning, I'm going to sound like a total snob here: I'm terrified that these people are going to be having children. My DH and I kept looking at each other through the class like "what the hell, do these people have no common sense?"
Q1. What do I do if my baby stops breathing?? (The instructor was like...call 911, do CPR?!?)
Q2. What if both my husband and I have to take a shower? (take a shower one at a time so one can watch the baby)
Q3. What if we have plans and can't find a babysitter? (you don't go!)
Q4. Do you have to hold the baby when it first comes out or can you ask them to give it a bath first (eye roll)
Q5. How do I not roll over my baby? (shoot me now)
Q6. You have to feed a baby that often!!! (I guess 3 times a day was what they had in mind)
etc. etc. etc. What I wrote above does not give an accurate description of what it was like in there but...geez people. Most of them were just so amazed that you had to take care of your baby. I'm surprised someone didn't ask if they could just stick it in a kennel with their dog at night.

refrain--that's too funny. My friend at work who's due 2 weeks after me said her baby class was just like that too. Stupid questions the entire time (and yes, there are such things as stupid questions!). She said she was also afraid that these people were actually having babies!

I know what you mean about not wanting everyone else in the world to have the same bedding as your babies. That's one reason we ended up with the one we got. You can't find it at BRU, so that means a good portion of people are knocked out right there for potentially having it! The thing I liked about the bunnies, though, was that it was modern and not fussy, yet very cute and awesome colors. Even though you saw a few other people with it in their baskets, it still doesn't seem like something the majority of people would get. It isn't 'cute' enough or girly enough for most people I'd bet.

Oh, my MIL offered to make our bedding set too. We were happy when she just decided to buy what we wanted, lol.

I feel like I'm really starting to pop. I haven't outgrown any of my maternity clothes yet, but all of a sudden things are definitely getting tighter or shorter in in the belly. I hope I can make it a few more weeks without buying anything else...Although this weekend I ended up buying my first set of maternity undies. Sexy!

Evyn: So sorry to hear about DH's job! It really, really stinks that the place waited until two days before he was to start to give him that news. I know it is rough right now, but things always work out and sometimes for the best. Maybe your DH will find something even better!

Thirteen: Sorry about DH's grandma, but glad to hear that she is recovering.

My first appointment with my new OB is this afternoon. After my RE released me, I decided I didnt' want to go back to my previous OB/GYN since she refused to test me for PCOS and blew me off. Anyway, I am excited about meeting my new doctor and I hope I like her. For some reason, I have to meet with the OB nurse 1 hour before my appointment with the doctor. I am trying to figure out what in the world they are going to do, especially since all my patient history, family history, etc. is being transferred from my RE.

Jen – Glad to hear from you and know you and the baby are doing well. It’s amazing how we just continue dealing with sleep deprivation, isn’t it?

Evyn – The vivid dreams are definitely a part of pregnancy. I think they tend to be bad when you’re more stressed, and the fact that they’re so intense and so real makes it even more disturbing. Sorry you’re dealing with those right now.

Sheepie – Sounds like you had a good weekend. That’s so sweet about your mom feeling bad that she’s not closer to help you! If there’s anything I can do to help you out with the practical stuff, just ask away! I’m always happy to help and I’m sure Jen and Trish and any other experienced moms would be too. That bedding set is really pretty, btw. I love the polka dot bumpers!

Aturnbg – Toys are a toughie, especially since they don’t really play with much (aside from links toys and rattles) for the first 4-6 months. Sorry to hear you’re swelling now. I hope the appt on Wed goes well!

Refrain – My MIL wanted to make me a bedding set when I was pg with DS, so I found one I liked and had her more or less copy it. It ended up being my shower gift and I have to say I absolutely love it – even now nearly 2 years later. Here’s a pic. And OMG, I’m laughing hysterically at the comments in the baby class! We had a few choice couples in our class too. One guy was totally obsessed with when the Dr would “fix” the baby’s head because he knew a kid with a funny shaped head and he didn’t want his kid to have one. It went on and on and on, despite the instructor calmly explaining the dr doesn’t “shape” the baby’s head.

Bobbysgirl – Good luck at your appt today! I hope you like your new dr. I have a feeling the appt with the nurse is just the way they handle all the new OB patients, so much of it will be redundant: family history, blood tests, etc. Regardless, I hope it's a good appt and you love your new Dr!

My appt this morning went well. It was fast - I was out of there in 30 minutes flat! HB in the 160s everything looks good. Of course the dr didn’t have much to say about headaches & heartburn. Par for the course, you know. He laughed and said “what about that glow and how you’re supposed to just love being pregnant?” I rolled my eyes and said “who are those women anyway? I think that whole thing is a myth!” lol

So my most exciting news is that we set a date for the c/s. I’m going to deliver on October 31! It’s technically 2 days after my EDD but he was agreeable. Plus I told the dr about how DH and I met on Friday the 13th, got engaged on Fri 13th, got married on Fri 13th, found out we were pg w/DS on the 13th and DS was born on the 13th. (So now my user name makes sense, huh? ) Anyway… my EDD is nowhere near a 13th and I didn’t want this baby to have an “average day” birthday since DS has a special one, so we thought Halloween would be a good day. Once I told him all of that, he was so excited to do it on the 31st! The only condition is if I go into labor earlier (of course) or if I have any signs of pre-e, he’ll deliver the baby sooner. That’s fine with me – if the baby wants to pick a different birthday, so be it.

Thirteen-your user name does make sense now, lol. Thats great that you got the date set already...exciting!

Refrain-hope you get a lot of work done this afternoon!

Bobbysgirl-how did your appointment go?

Regarding bedding-I am not a big fan of animals/characters on bedding for some reason...although I will say that the bunny meadows bedding is pretty subtle and cute. We are thinking of something like this for baby girl http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2974113
and this for baby boy http://www.toysrus.com/product/index...ductId=2974112 I really love brown/pink and brown/blue. Plus we rent a townhouse so we cant paint walls and they are a tanish color with brown shades. We will see though, we are still looking and still have time.

Hi All,
I'm new to this thread. I just found out I'm 3 weeks pregnant! Funny thing is, I got off Met (felt like it was poisoning me?) and continued taking Femara CD 3-7 and then got pregnant! I don't have IR. I've been bleeding after IC twice so now we have stopped. Hope I haven't lost the sea monkey!! Have any of you been bleeding initially? I've already let my RE know and am waiting to hear back.

Congrats tschreck!!! Glad to have you here!

I am not a fan of cartoony bedding either. We are not sure what we are going to do in "Yet to be named baby girl's" room. (That is what we are calling her right now, ha ha!) Probably something simple since we want to sell our house eventually---the sooner the better.

tshchreck - Welcome and congrates. As far as the bleeding, I guess how much? I had a small amount of spotting around 11 dpo (BEWARE TMI - pink mucus for a few hours and a couple drops of blood), but it stopped w/in 12 hrs. Just wait to see what the RE says, Did you have a blood HCG test, if so what were the levels?

13 - Your user name makes total sense now! It's kinda freaky, but cool!

My OB appointment went well yesterday aside from the fact that the receptionist couldn't find all of the pre-appointment forms I had filled out on line. However, she eventually located them (whew). I really didn't want to sit and fill out all that stuff again. Anyway, I think I am going to like the Dr. She is about 36-38 years old and is good mix of business and being personable (my last Gyn was all business). They did a culture test, and bloodwork. The Dr. found the baby's heartbeat on the first try and it was nice and strong. I go back in 4 weeks for my next appointment.

hsuter: I like the baby bedding you have picked out. I'm not a big fan of characters on baby bedding either, plus we have chosen not to find out our baby's sex. Do you know how hard it is to find gender neutral bedding that is cute? Anyway, I found a cute and inexpensive gingham/polka dot set at JCPenney that I am going to purchase in sage green.

tshreck--welcome and congrats! I didn't have any bleeding, so I can't help you there...just heard from lots of people on this board that a little bleeding can be normal. Try not to worry!

Yeah, I'm not a huge fan of cartoony bedding either. I figure, the kid is going to fall in love with Dora the Explorer or whatever at some point and when they actually know what that is, then I can see us giving her that bedding, but for now, I don't see the point. So, since she's still in me, I get to pick her bedding and make it look nice!

Heidi--I like those 2 beddings you picked out. They were 'under consideration' for a while with us before we decided to go for a more traditional look.

Bobbysgirl--glad you had a good appt! And I hope you like your doctor. It's so nice having a doctor that you feel confident in and like as well.

Oh, we've been calling the baby 'bebe' for now, sort of the French sounding version of baby. My mom even had a pillow case with that name put on it! It will be strange to actually give her a real name and not call her bebe anymore.

hsuter - I love the bedding you've picked.

tschreck - Congrats! I had some brown spotting around 8 weeks, I'm not sure if it was from IC or not. It was gone the next day and I haven't had any since.

Thirteen - I can't believe how much the number thirteen has played a role in your life, it all makes sense now. Also, 31 is 13 backwards

Aturnbg - hope you're feeling more comfortable. I'd really like to know who these women are that have such easy pregnancies! Actually, a close friend of mine was like that, she didn't have a day of sickness or any discomfort, I'm so jealous!

My sister called me the other day from the RE and she was crying. She was waiting to have her IUI and was having a stressful morning. It really broke my heart and all I want is for this cycle to have worked for her. It really sounds like her clinic is an awful place. Urgh.

working from home day 2 -
7:30-10:15 surfed the internet looking for coordinating but not matching crib bedding, no luck.
10:16-? Guess I take a shower and do my hair....

Why hasn't guilt set in...oh well.

Welcome tschreck
Rose-sorry to hear about your sister. I was at an awful clinic before I finally changed to a new one. I swear all the added stress that clinic gave me is why nothing ever worked. And those easy preg. women...that was me before a few weeks ago when the anemia kicked in. I still have never thrown up...don't hate me
hsuter-cute sets
sheepie-my babies are probably convinced their names are "Oww!" and "Stop it!"

rose - Sorry to hear about your sister, it's hard when you do not click w/ the RE you are using. Maybe if she isn't happy there she should look into finding a new RE after this cycle.

I had a little SCARE this morning! Last night I had this trickle of fluid down my leg, DH and I decieded to wait and see if any thing else happens....nothing did. So this morning same thing happens, so I call the doctors office and they want me in STAT! So I throw on cloths, grab my hospital bags (just in case) and dash to the doctors office. I get there, everyone in the office knows me and are all excited and can't wait to see if it's amniotic fluid or not. All the woman waiting to get in are intrested in my "goings on" b/c I'm being fawned over. "Are you ok? Do you need some water? Are you having contractions?" All these questions are being thrown at me from 4 different woman in the front office, even the office manager came out to tell me that they are moving things around to get me in asap and is there anything she can do for me? I feel so freaking loved by my doctors office! Well, turns out my mucus is just really watery. All is well w/ the babies and they want me in every week now. I also gained a 1 lb! So I've gained exactly 31 lbs, right on target! Yah!
