caligirl - I like Seanna Marcella, it flows. I'm glad your apt went well and the babe's head is down! I hope you have a great ultrasound today. I am also getting a ultrasound today, I am starting the weekly bio-physiologic (sp? I'm not even sure that's what it is called) profile on the girls, measuring movements, heartbeats, measurements, etc. So I hope we both have great apts!

shellbell- I hate not being able to sleep on my stomach. I think thats part of the reason I can not sleep well..... well it's also b/c I have a huge beach ball conected to me inhibiting me from moving around or laying in a decent position.

bobbysgirl - It might have been! It's a neat feeling.

Sheepie - As long as the contractions went away, it's ok. Well, that's at least what my doctor says. I keep telling myself when I get crazy pains or feel like contractions are happening more, that if the babies are born they will be fine b/c we both are at that point now. It makes me feel better, but our babies need to stay in there a little bit longer!

I am going in for the non-stress test and the babies bio-physilogic (spell?) profile. From what I understand they monitor for contractions, babies heartbeats and movements. Then they do a ultrasound to watch movements, take measurements, est. weights, etc. I'm sure all is well. I just don't like having to sit there for a hour and half, when I have to pee every 30 mins.

Aturn...My appointment is next Thursday but good luck at your appointment today. I bet you can't wait to see your little ones! I can't believe you are going every week now. That's so exciting since it means delivery time is near but also kind of a pain in the butt. Thanks for the input on the names. I like Seanna Marcella too...but it's just so hard to figure out for sure. How are you doing with names? We have boy names picked out too since we don't know what this LO is. I couldn't imagine having to come up with 2 names. lol I heard the next one will be easier.

Evyn...Those sound like BH to me. I read that you get them your whole pregnancy but you can only start to feel them when your uterus gets big enough. Thanks for the name help!

Shell…I am glad you are starting to feel better. After the m/s is done, I think pregnancy gets so much better. I just loved it when I started showing, it started to make things more real for me. Congrats on making it past 12 weeks!

Bobbysgirl….You probably were feeling the baby! I didn’t feel anything until after 17 weeks but I have heard of people feeling it early. Just don’t be alarmed if you don’t feel it again for awhile because being that early you might not. What a cool thing for you!!

Sheepie…I really hope that was the baby flipping and not contractions. It seems like everyone is having contractions on the other board. Kinda scary. Thanks for the name help. Picking a name is so hard. How are you doing on yours? It’s fine if you don’t want to say what it is but do you have one or are you having all this trouble too? How long are you going to continue working?

Refrain….Not much luck with the name yet but everyone’s thoughts are actually helping a lot. I go through these phases where I just start stressing on different things. This week it is the name. One thing I am looking forward to when the baby comes is all these decisions will be over and I can just enjoy my babe. I’m sure more hard decisions will be popping up later though. Lol Sorry about the bad dream. They are so hard to shake afterwards! I had a sex dream last night….but not with my husband, oh oh!

I am still enjoying pregnancy. I do get some aches and pains and sleeping is hard but I feel very lucky to not be experiencing a lot of the difficulties my fellow pregnant woman are. I hope this will continue for another 5 weeks!

Have a great day everyone!

~Amber

Amber--Nope, no name yet! We have several that we're tossing back and forth, but nothing definite yet. Yeah, I'm so happy that my pregnancy (knock on wood) has been so uneventful, especially compared to so many people on our due date thread. Which is also why I feel bad complaining about it sometimes! I really have nothing to complain about...

I am planning on working until my water breaks at my desk! Well, not really, but unless something happens I'm planning on working as long as possible. I just sit at a desk and computer all day, so there's really no reason I can't keep doing that unless I have to go on bedrest or something like that. I just want to work as long as possible so I can have as much time off afterwards as I can. How about you?

When do you start going in weekly? I'm starting my weekly appts this week...

Sheepie...I think it's good to complain. Just because we don't have that bad of pregnancy's doesn't mean somethings aren't bothering us.

I am going to work as long as possible. I would prefer to work until I'm in labor but I am not sure how I will feel that last week. I will do my best. I feel like if I stop working I would sit around and go crazy waiting. But if I had a medial reason or was carrying more than one, I would definitely think about it.

I don't know when I start going weekly. My first 2 week appointment is next Thursday so we will see what he says. That's exciting you are starting to go weekly! Means things are coming to an end but a new beginning!

That's so interesting to see how dr's do things differently. Like how my doctor routinely gives ultrasounds. Out of all my appts, only 1 was without an u/s. And I started going every 2 weeks at 30 weeks, and am starting the every week after this past 34 week.

I had a bummer of an appointment today. The ultrasound tech only showed the baby for like...maybe a total of 2 minutes. She didn't decribe anything..she just said I was measuring 20weeks5days (3 days ahead, thats good!) and that the baby had a good heartbeat (159). Dh was totally underwhelmed...he was like "That was it?" I had to explain that she SUCKED. He was like "its okay, don't worry about it." But I was super dissapointed. THEN I had to deal with my mouthy nurse practitioner who acts like Im some silly little girl. I told her I thought I had felt Braxton Hicks contractions and she was like "Well..you are what I would call a high anxiety mother..you seem to worry about every little thing." I was like "Uhhh...I don't think Im anxious, I was just asking if it was normal to feel that around this time." She started saying that anyone who goes to a fertility specialist gets anxious about "every little thing". I wanted to smack her. Then DH said she was just trying to help and I felt like smacking HIM. I just cannot stand being talked down to.

ANyway. Baby is good, that is all that matters. I have a new ultrasound scan and belly pic on my blog if anyone wants to see!

Evyn - you should start practicing what I do when people make stupid comments like that. You just stare at them. Right in their eyes. No expression...just stare in silence. It's fun.
