*LOL* My DH said the same thing. He changed his tune last night though, I could barely even sit down it was hurting so bad! Its been fine today, but Ive been taking it pretty easy. I guess it was just a growing pain, but it lasted for 2 days non stop! Ive not had anything like that! Being pregnant is a constant mystery.

Hey ladies,

Evyn-Congrats on the baby girl!!!


Well we had an appointment today. The nurse (who was definately new) used the doppler to find a hb. Then I was like...did you know I'm having twins,lol. So she found the other hb, but didnt really monitor it so I have no idea what the hbs were...just that their hearts were beating.
They got the results from my ultrascreen and one baby has a 1 in 10,000 chance of having downs and the other 1 in 8,000. She asked if we wanted to do the blood test for spina bifida but we said no since any major problems will be seen on u/s and minor problems can be fixed with surgery after birth.

My next appt is May 8 and we will find out the genders!! SOO excited!!!

Aturnbg – It’s cute that you rub their butts to make them turn. I used to do that to DS too. It really soothed him as a newborn too. I would just rub his butt or pat it and he’d fall right asleep. Glad your appt went well!

Evyn – Congrats on finding out it’s a girl! How exciting! I’m glad to hear the pain is finally gone. You hit the nail on the head when you said being pregnant is a constant mystery!

Jen – Wishing you luck switching DD’s schedule so you can get some rest. Hope you’re finding ways to take advantage of that extra cleavage!

Hsuter – Glad you had a good appt. Your odds are fantastic! Glad everything looks good.

Refrain – Last time my quad screen odds for downs came back at 1:100! I had to go in for a level ii u/s. It was so nerve wracking. But the u/s showed DS is perfectly fine. (After all that stress I’m skipping the stupid screen this time around. lol) 1:1800 are great odds and there’s no need to worry!

I thought I was going to send DS to my in laws for an overnight tonight but it turns out today is the only day for the next 12months that they have plans. I was so looking forward to a quiet night alone with DH. *sigh* Oh well, maybe next weekend will work out.

I have a job interview this afternoon so I’m cutting out of work early today. I also have two interviews scheduled for next week. I’m getting hopeful that something will pan out soon! I’ve been job searching for a few months and I’m sooo ready to make the change already. It’s funny how job searches are such a process – I think I’ve revised my resume and reconsidered my interests a dozen times so far. I finally feel like I’m getting somewhere! hoping for good news soon...

Sorry I haven't updated. Went to the highrisk OB. That woman was all business. No chit-chat, no smile, straight to u/s and measurements. She was just zooming in and out and all around the place. I felt bad b/c my MIL came with me and she was so excited about seeing the babies on ultrasound but really, there is no way she could have known what she was seeing, I'm used to watching them and I could barely tell what was going on.
BUT! Little girl has caught up! She is 2lbs5oz and her brother is 2lbs6oz. I was so happy
...but then the OB lady started semi-lecturing me on not being worried and how all babies are different, these aren't identical blah blah. (as if I was some crazy worried first time mom that was taking up her precious time). I stopped her mid-speech and said, I did not refer myself to you, my other OB sent me to you. Then you could see it click with her and she said..oh well they're fine, don't worry.
They are the each the size of singletons and in the 60th percentile...I'm very glad these little ones are coming out through my belly and not the other end. My DH was a huge baby, so huge he had to be c-sectioned b/c his mom wasn't big enough to get him out. I have a feeling these guys have his baby genes.

I'm sick as a dog right now. Bad sinus infection and I'm coughing up lots of green stuff. Doc called me in a z-pack so hopefully that will start kicking in soon. G-ma's funeral is this weekend, so on top of the stress of family, I get to be coughing/hacking/sneezing and feel like poo. My poor babies...they just need some rest.

DH and I just got back from the Tri-State Multiples Sale and let me just tell you they had a ton of great deals!!!! Important to get there as soon as it opens up though, good stuff goes quick. We we to check out the toys and matching clothes, but they had tons of carseats (~$20 each), swings (starting at ~$30), bedding, bottles, double strollers (~$70 each). It was crazy good deals! We spent $75 dollars and got 20 matching outfits and some toys for the girls. One was a cute little walker and ride thing. We will for sure be going back this fall for the next sale.


Nothing else to report though, girls are just moving more and more everyday. I think they want out. Stay put you two!!!

Hey girls! Wanted to jump on this thread as well... I've already told my story on the TTC thread but for those of you who don't read that one... Randomly got a BFP after POS last Wednesday just from Met I'm guessing. Have not had my period since 10/07 so still don't know exactly how far along I am. Got my HCG back on Friday confirming I am pg and my numbers were 1450. Have follow-up b/w on Monday to make sure I am progressing normally. :-) :-) :-)
