Had my 35 week apt today. Isabelle is 4lbs 10 oz and Alexa is 5 lbs 1 oz. A little smaller then what they should be (at least by the books). I have been feeling like total crap for the last 2 days, and last night I started having alot of pain. While I was having their hearts monitored they decieded to monitor for contractions.... at the time I was measuring contractions every 15 mins!!!!! The doctor came in and was like I think we need to send you to the hospital b/c we want you to stay pregnant at least another week. I immediatly started crying, and he was like let's just check your cervix first and see what's going on. He said that we could try a Rx drug from the pharmacy 1st but if they do not stop tonight then I have to go to the hopsital for some IV drug to stop them. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh! Ok, so I'm kinda freaking out right now, but I've take the drug and now it's just a waiting game. So I will keep you girls updated on the progress!

Aturn-every 15 min wow! What does it feel like? Do contractions hurt all over your stomach? I hope you get things straightened out, your little ones will be here before you know it! Keep us posted!

Sheepie-you look so cute, you have such a tiny bump lol.

Bella Band-I bought one online. It worked well for a while but then my thighs and butt started to gain some weight and it just became too uncomfortable to try to wear regular clothes with the bella band. I think if I was just having one baby it would've worked a lot better.

aturn! I'm so sorry. maybe that's why we're both so grouchy. contractions.

Today I went into my doctors office without an appt for the first time. For some reason I have this weird thing about worrying about things, meaning, I don't want to be accused of being a first time mother worry-wart. BUT I hadn't felt Lily move in over 24 hours and I had cramps running down my legs. So I went in. They did a non-stress test and both the babies were fine, strong heartbeats, no dips. The doc based on the location of her heartbeat, said she probably is underneath Zane and is kicking towards my back, so I can't feel her.
But, I also had 2 contractions during my 15 mins on the monitor. Both small ones. Doctor checked my cervix and said it is still long and closed so its probably due to dehydration. So I'm supposed to drink even MORE water and rest.

I'm so sorry they want to keep them in there longer and you may have to do it at the hospital. You know its good for them and what they need...but you sooooo want them out. I feel so selfish whenever I tell people that. "Ya I'm supposed to deliver at 38 weeks, but hopefully they will come a lot earlier" <blank stares on people's face>

BTW - What's the drug?

Bellaband...never used one, always just used a hair rubberband

Sheepie - you lucky duck, look how cute and small you are. I'm measuring 37 weeks now. I'm huge!

hsuter-for me the contractions feel like ...well try tightening up your abs and then releasing. you get that tight sensation, but that releasing sensation stays with me for about 30 seconds. its weird

Wow....it really sounds like we are gonna have some new babies on this thread soon!

Aturn---Im sorry you are having a hard time. I hope that drug will help. I know you are feeling miserable though.

Refrain----I can't stand the worry wart accusation. Since the NP at my OBGYN's told me I was "having a high anxiety pregnancy, worrying about every little thing" Im scared to say anything if I have a question about something. I don't want them thinking Im an idiot. I thought about calling when I didn't feel the baby move. I went a whole Saturday, and then on Sunday I only felt her like..once. Luckily by Monday she was moving around lots, but that worry sets in and its all you can think about.

refrain- Thats crazy that you to are having the same problem! I'm telling you, drink a ton of water! I have been drinking at least 8-10 bottle of water a day and the doctors have told me that is what has helped me to get to this point. But the drug is called Terbutaline, it is making me shake bad for the first few hours of taking it but the contractions have stopped. So that's good, I guess, but I am in the same frame of mind that I just want them to come early too! I know they need to stay in there another week, but dang it!!!!

Oh well, it is for the best I'm sure.

Autrn: I hope your contractions stop and you can make it one more week. Your little girls will be here before you know it!

Refrain: Glad everything is okay with Lillian. I hope you can keep your little ones in there just a while longer.

Sheepie: Your baby bump is small, but very cute.

Evyn: Maybe your baby bump depends on how she is laying at the moment. It is funny how it changes.

Not much new here. I am so tired today and have a headache. I am so glad it is Friday!

Aturn -- just wanted to stop by to wish you luck & keep those babies in a little longer!

Refrain - hang in there! I know the time seems to sloooooow down.

Sheepie & Cali - you girls are getting so close! I'm sorry about the breech but babies will be here soon.

13 - too cute about your DS! Where do they get the energy?

Evyn - you are over 1/2 way now & hsuter - almost to 1/2way! I was very excited about that milestone.

I'm mostly lurking on this thread but wanted to wish all you ladies good health for the rest of your pregnancies & healthly, happy babies!

New update!!!

I just got a call from the doctor about how long I should keep taking the drug to stop the contractions. So he said to go ahead and stop and if the contractions start back up to call them. Also he said that he concerned with Isabelle's weight being in the 12th percentile for twins, and wants another growth scan Monday morning and if she has fallen into the 10th percentile or below then we are going to be admited to the hospital for induction. So I may be having my little girls by Monday unless we have more contractions this weekend. Oh my goodness!!! I feel like everything is happening so fast now! I feel like we need to clean the house this weekend good, and get all of our last minute things done ASAP!

Wow, Aturn! Good luck! I hope the contractions stop, though. And I hope her growth scan shows she has grown some. Wow, it seems like it goes from 0 to 60 in no time! Try and take it easy this weekend--that'll help with the contractions. I know if I overdue it I feel icky.

Aturn...Sorry about the scare. I hope your contractions stop and the little one continues to grow.

Sheepie...I think you look great! Such a cute belly!

Had a doctor appointment this morning and the babe is still breech so we scheduled the c/s for June 2nd. He said anytime in the last week of May or first week of June. I just really wanted a June baby. lol

Then I got back to work and got another surprise baby shower. With pizza, cake, and gifts! That makes 3 surprise ones (2 from work).....and I really hate being the center of attention so I hope that's all. I do really appreciate all the work and thought everyone puts into them. Very sweet.

I hope everyone is doing well. I will do personals later. I am just sooooo tired!

Rose – Yay for spilling the beans at work! How’d your office mate react? We’re not going to find out the gender this time. We didn’t last time either and it was really fun to have the extra surprise. Last time I was sure it was a boy and it was. This time I’m not sure – part of me thinks girl, though. I don’t really care either way. A girl would be great cuz I’d get to do all the mother-daughter things and so far there are 4 grandsons in my family and no granddaughters. A boy would be great cuz the two kids would be like my sister and I were growing up - close in age and the best of friends. Plus I already have a bunch of boy clothes and toys. So either way I’ll be a happy mama!

CaliGirl – You’ll do great as a mom! It’s true, you learn a lot on the fly, but the Mommy Board (and the Thin Moms thread I'm sure) are a great resource any time you need info or a little emotional support. That’s so nice of your coworkers to throw you another shower! Congrats on the c/s date! As a June baby myself, I think you made an excellent decision!

Refrain – I love the pg dog analogy! lol Are you close to biting anyone’s hand off? I hope you're feeling better soon. Maybe you'll get that burst of energy soon!

Sheepie – Cute belly pic! I am almost as big as you already - yikes!

Aturnbg – I’m glad to hear they took you off the meds. I really hope you’re able to bake the babies another week or so without having to be admitted. Good luck this weekend – take it easy and try to relax!

Heidi – Early contractions (esp BH) don’t hurt, they feel just like Refrain explained, a tightening and then releasing. Once you’re in active labor the contractions get stronger and more painful and they feel like AF cramps but they’re not just low, they’re across your whole baby belly. They feel like a wave of tightness/pain - start out small, then get stronger, then peak, and finally fade away. But it’s not sharp pain, it’s more like an ache that gets progressively more intense as labor goes on. By the end of my labor I was in a lot of pain – it was a constant feeling instead of a wave, and that’s when the meds are really handy! LOL

Evyn – I’m sorry the NP made you feel like a worry wart. I’m always afraid I’m going to be referred to as one of “those patients”. I hope your OB is more understanding. What a cute belly pic on your blog! Your baby must have found a secret hiding place or something.

Bobbysgirl – Sorry to hear you have a headache today. Hope you’re feeling better this weekend!

Jen – How’s life with your little girl? Is she 6 weeks now? Do you feel like you’re getting into a groove?

Codi – Good luck at the u/s this afternoon. Hopefully it’ll set your mind at ease about the spotting. If it makes you feel better, pap spotting can be from where they scraped the cells and not necessarily have anything to do with affecting the pregnancy.

Not much to report on my end. I keep looking at my belly wondering if it's just me or if it really is getting big. Some days I think it's cute, some days I think it's ginormous for this stage! Oh well, there's not much I can do about it.

My friend gave me her bella band the other day so I'm planning to try it out this weekend and see if it works for me. I'm still fitting into my regular pants, but they're definitely getting tight.
