13 - yep, DD is 6 weeks. And she's the cutest, sweetest baby ever! Most days we have at least a semi routine, but some days she still throws the schedule out the window.

Evyn - you are small - but so cute!

Aturn - good luck for Monday!

Just thought I'd let everyone know we saw our lil one's heartbeat on Friday... the baby has gotten so big since our u/s 2 weeks ago.. when we couldn't even see him/her...lol. The yolk sac looks like the baby's head. I'm measuring like a week behind like I was last time tho. I think I implanted late. Anyways.. here's my 4 mm lil bean...

Let's see if I can get a couple of pics on here. The one in pink is from Mother's Day; the other is a fave of mine in her Pooh bath towel.

Re: parenting a little girl -- it's not hard yet, but she's only 6 weeks old, LOL! I do think a lot about body image and self-confidence and making sure she gets exposed to math and science . . . So far I've lost a little over half my baby weight. I gained between 33-35 lbs, and I've been exercising again so I know I'll have lost the rest by the time I go back to work, but now I'm just conscious that I don't want my little girl to see/hear me standing in front of the mirror going, "does this make me look fat?" and thinking about what kind of toys I'll want her to have (not a fan of the Bratz dolls, for example). So I'm sure it will all get complicated later on!

Hi Ladies!!! I haven't posted in a while but I have somewhat kept up with the posts. I seriously got addicted to this site and I have had to lay off a bit. I'm afraid I'll end up spending too much time on here when I'm at home with the baby.

Jen your little girl is so cute!!! She looks so girly. Some baby girls I have noticed don't start looking girly for a few months but she definitely already does.

Codi- Congrats on the great ultrasound!

Sounds like auturn, cali, sheepie and refrain will have their babies in their arms soon! How exciting!

hsuter- Congrats on 1 boy and 1 girl.

I'm sure I've missed a lot but I just wanted to check in and let you ladies know that I'm still around

I've had a great pregnancy so far although I seem to wake up half way through the night and it takes me a while to get back to sleep.

Codi: Congrats on the ultrasound. I'm glad you were able to see the baby's heartbeat!

mnstrpc: Your daughter is so cute!! I'm glad that your doing so well with losing your baby weight. Congrats!

wantsababy: I was wondering where you had been. Glad to hear that you are doing well and your pregnancy is going well. I've had sleep problems like yours, but lately, I can't get enough sleep.

Aturnbg – Any news on the babies? How was the weekend? How are you feeling?

Jen – What a cutie pie! Your DD is so sweet in those pics. Glad to hear you’ve gotten into a routine. I felt like life was so much more manageable once we had a routine – even if it got thrown off from time to time.

Codi – Great u/s pics! And how exciting to see the heartbeat! Did they adjust your EDD based on the measurements?

Wantsababy – Glad to hear you’re doing well. I have trouble falling back asleep sometimes too. Fortunately I’m not up every night, but on Sat I was up for over an hour. No fun!

I had a good weekend. I did a bunch of yardwork, cleaning, and laundry. Not real exciting, but it was good to get it all done. I tried out the Bella Band yesterday. It worked ok, but I hate how it rides up in back every time I sit down. I’ll have to experiment with it a little more. I stopped into Old Navy looking for some maternity clothes. When I was pg with DS they had these great tshirts – really simple and grew with you so they always looked good, not “tenty”. I went to ON specifically to get some more and they don’t have them anymore! DH took me & DS out on Saturday for lasagna mmm! I never make lasagna at home, it seems too time consuming, so it was nice to go out and have someone make it for me! Last night DH and I watched Juno. What a great movie! I laughed so hard, and totally teared up at the end.

Jen- She is so freaking cute! You are so blessed!

13 - sound's like you had a very productive weekend. I also loved Juno! I thought it was so funny, and it ended well. I hate movies that end crappy.

So the apt. went well today, for the most part. Isabelle is measuring 4lbs 14 ozs and Alexa is measuring 4lbs 15ozs. Which on their charts makes them in the 24th percentile. So that was good news. Isabelle was not moving around that much, which they told me was fine, but they had to fail her in the "tone" part of the ultrasound! But we did the non-stress test and her heartbeats did what they needed to do to pass the test. Oh, and also I'm contracting every 5 mins!!!!! So they called the doctor and they wanted me to continue taking the drug for the next day and half and call if my contractions do not stop. I told the doctor that these girls are just wanting to come out and he was like, "Ah, just another week until they are considered full term so let's try to chang their minds for a little bit longer!" Alright!!!!! I'm freaking miserable though. Did I tell you girls that i measure like a 42 week pregnant woman?!?!?! Yah, try that one on for size.

So I'm kinda worried. Why can't it all just be normal?! My doctor said that the heartbeat was 105 bpm and I measured at like 6w2d. My doctor just said that I'm pretty much between 7 and 8 weeks right now (even tho I'm supposed to be 9 weeks tomorrow) and we'll know more as I get further along.. but that everything looked perfect! I don't really get it tho.. 2 weeks ago I was measuring at 5 weeks.. So after 2 weeks the baby only grew a weeks worth? I don't wanna worry cuz my doctor says it's normal for u/s to be up to a couple weeks off. I've been eating alot of protein tryin to get this baby to grow!

Was it the tape measure that you were measuring small with? My ob/gyn told me I was measuring small but she also said I am small and have tight ab muscles and am carrying low, she said all those can contribute to it. She ordered an ultrasound and the baby is actually weighing in at about 3oz more. I hope all goes well let me know

Codi--the same thing happened to me. i'm assuming your first ultrasound where you measured 5 weeks, they just measured the sac. this is not a very accurate measurement. then when the baby gets big enough to measure, they do that, and it's much more accurate. so i would stick with the 6w2d measurement. i'm also assuming you are 9 weeks past your LMP, do you know when you ovulated? are they giving you another u/s in a week or two to double check? i had 3 early u/s to make sure everything was ok, and i was really scared after the first one, but after we went back everything ended up being fine. i hope everything turns out great for you as well.

Codi: I wouldn't worry too much yet. Just focus on keeping your stress down and eating protein. Like Shell said, the measurements will be more accurate as the baby grows.

I agree with everyone---I was measuring behind at first, and now every time I go to the doctor and get an ultrasound, the baby is measuring AHEAD. So I think at this point it is totally normal.

Jen----your little baby is so lovely! I can't wait til mine gets here.

Im 23 weeks today and I can't believe how fast it is going by!
