My current OB can only see patients until 24 weeks.. so I found another place that have 2 new OB's coming sept 1st.. but I would have to see a nurse practitioner until september. What do you girls think about that? I'm hoping she can still do all the things I'll need. And it does suck that I won't be seeing the same person the whole time. But they have u/s there in the offices.. not like my current OB who has to send me out. So maybe they'll do some to check up on me. We'll see!

My Mood: Points: 18,963.14 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 18,963.14 | Codi-in my opinion, I prefer nurse practioners to doctors. Nurse practioners have so much more time to give, are a lot of times nicer, and more willing to do things for you (like sneak you in for a quick doppler listen). Up here at the hospital, our doctors are so busy that they are just a mess...but all the nurse practioners could cite the patients names and histories for you in a second if you asked them too.

I personally LOVE my OBGYN and HATE her NP...but her NP is a major bi-otch who makes me feel like an idiot. I think most of them are good, the one I get stuck with is rude though.
Aturn, sorry no babies. I missed your post from yesterday somehow! I say let things happen naturally...if the medicine makes you that miserable its not worth it, especially if they say the babies are healthy!

I kinda think they are not going to start being regular agian until tomm. night or Friday. It took them two and half days to start back up the last time I took the med's. So I just am relaxing and watching TV right now. I can't wait to see them though, I feel like it's just around the corner and can not wait to get the show on!

I just drank a 32 oz Coke on ice...and it was fantastic, haven't had one in months. But now I'm starting to feel guilty, the little ones are jumping around all over the place!

refrain- That's funny about the coke. I rarely have caffeine and when I do I feel so guilty even if it's a piece of chocolate. Thanks for making me crave a coke now
The other day I ate a chocolate chip cookie and I am not 100% since I never felt it but I felt little flutter or bubble type feelings a little below my belly button and to the right. It was the strangest and coolest feeling. I can't wait until I can recognize it and it feel it all the time.
I hope all you ladies are having a good day!

I thought about you Refrain, I really hope you like it there, I sure do! Aturn - how exciting, you must be so anxious. Keep us posted! Blondie - Can you ask to have another ultrasound? What about the down syndrome screening at 12 weeks? I'm sure all is ok, but it must be frustrating having to wait until 18 weeks. DH's mom measured behind when she had their youngest daughter but everything turned out completely normal. As for me, my nausea is completely gone and I no longer feel pregnant. I'm actually starting to get worried about it. Do people start showing by now? I have an appointment tomorrow and I'm totally paranoid that something has gone wrong!

My Mood: Points: 27,665.27 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 27,665.27 | Amy--don't worry. It took me a long time to 'feel' pregnant. I didn't really have sickness and it was the in-between time of feeling the baby move, etc. As for showing--it depends on the person. I didn't really start showing til well into my 20s (weeks) and up until about 33 or 34 weeks hubby said if I wore sweatshirts and jeans I could totally be one of those kids in high school who no one knew was pregnant. Now, on the other hand, lol...Oh, and glad you had a good time in FL. Too hot and humid there for me!
About NP vs DR...I've always preferred my doctor over the NP. I actually just saw the NP this week b/c dr is out of town and it was just weird. She's nice enough, but I like my dr's personality and style better.
Aturn--hopefully they'll come sometime soon! Relax and enjoy sitting around

My Mood: Points: 18,963.14 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 18,963.14 | Amy-i know my insurance doesn't cover the NT scan for downs syndrome unless the mother is over 25 years old. Codi is a little youngin' at 21.
Wantsababy-I felt one of my babies move for the first time when I was 15.5 weeks as well. Congrats!!!

My Mood: Points: 12,590.04 Bank: 84,313.00 Total Points: 96,903.04 | Amy- Yeah I asked my old OB about the Nuchal Test but she said that insurance probably wouldn't cover it unless I was at risk. She said they would cover just a normal blood down test.. but since the Nuchal involves such an extensive 3D u/s that they prolly wouldn't. I want one tho! I would be great to have that kind of an u/s! When I go to my new OB in a few weeks maybe they will decide to do more u/s. I dunno! I hope so!

Thanks Sheepie, I guess I'm so worried because I went from being so sick and miserable to feeling completely normal. We'll see tomorrow!
