had my 36 week appt today. All was well, except baby is still breech (not a surprise). So depending on when I want, she'll be born either on June 2 or 3. I'm happy that I finally have an exact date. And my dr. said that if she flips on her own by then he'll just induce instead.
Oh yeah, and today's my 30th birthday...

Points: 49,762.46 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 49,762.46 | Refrain – Thanks for the encouragement on the job situation. That’s exactly how I feel, like they’ll be saying “Oh great, she just started and she’s going to be on leave in 5 months.” I feel a bit better now though. I hope my new team is as friendly as yours has been!
Rose – Thanks for your encouragement too. When are you planning to spill the beans?
Aturnbg – I appreciate your comments too. And I really do think you’re close to the end. I wish I could give you an exact date like Sheepie got, just to set your mind at ease. Those last few weeks of “any day now” are pure torture! It’ll be here before you know it and these days of waiting will seem like a lifetime ago!
Sheepie – Happy Birthday! Don’t feel bad about turning 30. As my friend told me when he reached the big 3-0, 30 is just the last year of your 20s. You’re not really in your 30s until you hit 31. Glad to hear the appt went well and you have a date set! Are you excited? I can’t believe your little one will be here in less than 3 weeks!
Playgroup was cancelled last night because a number of the kiddos were sick so I took DS out to Panera and then did a little shopping. I need a new purse and some shoes, but I had no luck. I did, however, find two cute tops for me (one maternity top and one that I can wear for now to get me thru this "fat" stage) and a couple of summer shirts for DS. I was tempted to buy #2 some stuff, but since I already have a bunch of newborn stuff and I don’t know if this one’s a boy or a girl, it wasn’t very exciting.
DS fell asleep on the way home (so cute) but as soon as he saw Daddy he woke right up! And of course he had to play in the sandbox and jabber at DH for a good ½ hr before I could convince him he really was tired and really did need to go to bed.

My Mood: Points: 26,748.31 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 26,748.31 | My bday plans consist of going out to dinner with hubby. To a nice steak/lobster house. But I'm NOT having the lobster! Don't want to chance it if it's true that it causes labor. Not ready for that yet 30s okay, I guess, lol...it's just crazy how fast the years go by now.
Amber--my original due date is June 12, so it'd be about 10 days early. Dr said he doesn't want breech babies to go into labor on their own because there's a chance of the umbilical cord coming out first because of the position of the baby (although he said my baby's butt was completing blocking that from happening!), so he likes to do it early. He's funny--he'll be out of town next week so today he said to me, Don't do anything while I'm gone!
13--that's cute about your son. Funny how they can be sound asleep and then 'up' within seconds! sorry about the lack of purchasing! I'm hoping to be able to cruise the mall with hubby tonight, but we'll see.
Yep--I'm excited, but crazy nervous. I've never even changed a diaper before and soon I'll be the one in charge of a baby!! Yikes! But I'm glad I have a real date set. Makes the planner in me happy

Thirteen - Just today, one of the nurses asked my office-mate if I'm pregnant because my boobs look big! So I ended up telling my office-mate but not my boss, I'll tell her in a week once she gets back from vacation. I'm not showing yet but it's getting hard to hide it so I figured I should tell them. Random questions: Are you going to find out the gender? Do you have a preference? Do you have a gut feeling about it? (sorry, I'm a little obsessed with finding out the gender these days

Sheepie...I am due on June 7th and I was hoping he would wait until that week to do it. I was going to ask to have the baby around the 2nd or 3rd too. But if your doc wants to do it earlier I wonder what mine will say. That means maybe in 2 weeks. Ahhhh Scary! I haven't really taken care of kids in a long time. That part makes me nervous because I don't think diapering a doll really gave me much practice! Have a good birthday!

I cried most of the day on my 30th birthday. My joke is that I'm 29.99. (LOL) Really, 30's are not bad. I still feel like I'm in my 20's and I guess that is what counts.
Not much new here except that I think my little one had a growth spurt this week. My tummy looks huge. I'm guessing that's why I had such bad cramping/pressure this weekend.

Besides, 30 is the new 20, and 40 is the new 30. That is at least what I read in all those trashy womans magazines!
I'm not sure what my deal is ladies, but people are totally annoying me lately! The only person I can stand is my DH, he's the only person that isn't driving me totally crazy. I'm thinking it's the pregnancy, or maybe they are really just being annoying.
I've got my weekly doctors apt. tomm though at 3pm. I hope for good news.... my cervix is starting to dilate, please, please, please, please!!!!

I really think its a preg. thing. Animals do the same thing. You never want to get too close to a dog thats about to give birth, she'll bite your hand off.
I went out to dinner with my friends the other night, and I just sat there. I've been getting emails (which is sweet) all saying, are you ok? You seemed upset, whats wrong?
Nothing was wrong. I just wanted to be at home in bed or on a couch.
