Default Thin, not IR, not TTC and met questions

Two questions:
1) Met side effects
I am a thin cyster (I have to exercise and eat low carb to stay lean...I have never been obese but can easily gain wieght), have not tested IR (although I definitely experience symptoms that would support IR such as wierd rx to eating carbs) am not ttc but am considering taking met. Has anyone experienced wieght gain from met and/or the return of other symptoms. Some people have mentioned they love how they feel on met...how so? Could you explain.

2) side effects of coming off of bcp while waiting to see if met works?
I am currently on bcp and aldactone. I would have to come off of bcp to see if the met works. I am woried that if the met doesn't work for me, during that time of wiating I will be off bcp and my symptoms may come back. Anyone have experience wiht this?

I am soooo anxious, scared and frustrated.

Thanks

Default met

hiya i am a thin cyster on met and to be honest the only side effect of met is nausea and diarroeah but these ease after a while (i am now on glucophage which is better). i have been on met for 3 years and my weight has stayed the same (basically) the whole time! Can i ask why you are coming off bcp if your not ttc??

My gyno is okay with me trying met as long as I get off of bcp...her point being...how would we know met is working for you if you're on bcp (a good point). Are you on met and bcp?
