Well I'm doing well .. here at 9 weeks pg.. still play games between nausea and indigestion (some gas too)... bloating seemed to go down between the 6th an 7th week... but then the tummy started showing then too.......
I'm already losing my waist-line it seems.. and 'normal' clothes were put away a long time ago. Dresses an overalls rule the closet... and I'm now considering some 'stretch' capris my Sis was talking about (she said they were only like $11 at wal-mart.. an could really stretch quite a ways!).
I just can't handle anything tight on my tummy... makes me soo uncomfortable/ill.
feel like I need a nap already at it's only 10:45am lol.. an I slept well the last couple nights even! (But then I didn't get proper naps over the weekend as I was gone on a lil vacation to see my parents/family.)
Well ladies how far along are you.. and what other little details or questions would you like to share??
ttyl,
~Rae~

Count me in... due Dec 8. Pg from IUI cycle with injectibles and acupuncture. We have been ttc for 4 years and had failed 2 IVF cycles and then I started metformin.
I quit taking metformin at 8 weeks and I'm now using diet and chromium to control my blood sugar. M/s variable but ok as long as I eat all the time... exhaustion is another matter. Today we go for our first ultrasound, I'll post more later!
i just got the confirmation from the doctor pg test this afternoon. not that i could doubt after the multiple postive tests i got at home, but hey, it's nice to hear a doctor say, 'it's positive'.
dh and i just sent an email card to our family and friends. we thought it turned the announcement into a sort of game-- whoever reads it first knows first. except we wound up telling my dad saturday night. he needed a bit of cheering up.
my due date (according to ff) is january 13th. i think that ecven if the doctor tries to change that, i'll stick to it. i like the number 13. it has brought me luck before
i have to wrap up now, the library is abuot to close.
i'm in for a super busy and hectic week-- our play goes up on wednesday, running through saturday. tonight and tomorrow night are rehearsals. i can't wait until sunday!

Looks like my time on this thread will be very short lived. We had an ultrasound today and there was a fetal sac but no embryo. At 9 wks, it is very unlikely things will change, but it is a remote possibility.

I was hoping someone would come up with this idea!
Go Rae! I was thinking about starting this kind of thread here... the chats seems much more managable. :-)
KBUG I am so sorry to hear of your ultrasound. I will keep my fingers crossed for you and send you lots of hope!
Hannah, isn't it funny that is ain't real till the doctor says so? I still have the occasional moment, where I wonder if I am REALLY pregnant, but thene again I have seen the u/s and heard teh hb twice. And now with teh tummy bulge it's starting to kick in. I actually bought my inaugural maternity wear yesterday. Thank goodness for GAP :-) And what's best about it... I still fit the size 4 I worked so hard to get to (I was an 8-10 last summer.....) despite the pregnancy. If only I can stick with that and just gain in the tummy that would be so wonderful!!!!!
Rae, I really can't wait for your next u/s. I don't believe it's not twins until you have the proof ;-)
Hope a couple more will join us. :-)
Thanks again Rae!

Hi ladies!
I'll join you too. Pre-pregnancy I was 5 ft 3 and 114 lbs. 114 was actually a good weight for me, most of my life I was thin as a rail to the point people thought I was sick. I actually tried to gain weight and couldn't! I lost weight in the begining of my pregnancy because I had the flu for almost two weeks. Around 20 weeks I started gaining and I'm now up to 136 at 34 weeks. It all seems to be in my boobs and belly. I can't complain, I finally have breasts We're pregnant after 3 years of "not trying to prevent" and 3 years with on and off treatment. Follistim, Antagon, HCG, and IUI turned out to be the magic coctail. My 32 week belly pic is in the belly pic thread.
Kbug- any updates? I'll keep you in my prayers!
Rae- What a cute little bump! I agree with Zebra, I'll beleive it is not twins when I see it
Zebra- I know what you mean about not beleiving it. I stare at Dillons crib still not beleiving that there will soon be a living breathing life in there!
Hannah- 13 has brought me luck too, I got my BFP on 10-13. Threes were lucky for me all around. I got pregnant on my 3rd IUI, The IUI was on 10-3-03, and I got the BFP on 10-13-03. We play 13 in the lottery now
Take care everyone!

hmmm so my belly isn't discouraging those who think I'm gonna have twins lol???
Oh well ... my doc appointment is 'nearly' here... week from Tuesday (May 25th).. hopefully we'll find out then. Should hear the heartbeat (assuming one heart is beating other then my own).. I'm sure the doc will look farther if he thinks I'm carrying multiples.....
till then.. I claim one !

Wow Rae ,I just looked at your numbers and I am convinced that there is more than one bun in the oven I know you can't base that kind of thing on numbers alone, but yours are so high!

we asked my doc that at my second appointment (just based off the first beta number.. the second was done at this appointment) if he thought my number was unusually high..
and he responded with 'not necessarily'
and at that time (only 5 weeks) he thought I measured normal for a singleton pregnancy....... I 'finally' go back in to see him May 25th.. we'll see if he's changed his mind any or not.

sorry i've been away for a little while. last week my computer tie was spent at tech rehearsals and then putting on the play. it went fairly well, only a few mistakes (okay, one night one of the actors skipped us through 6 pages of the script, and another night i managed to bump us about a page ahead-- but it was the last night, and i was soooo tired!)
then, sunday i had some bleeding. talk about scary! it wasn't red though, but i went to the doctor the next morning anyway. he was very reassuring, saying it was perfectly normal. he booked me into the early pregnancy assesment center for next monday, and had me stay at home for two days, and off work taking it very easy for the rest of this week. it is so good to be out of my flat!!!! anyway, i wound up with a bit more bleeding monday afternoon, and then again yesterday afternoon, so i called the early preg people and they had me come in today.
so, they did a transvaginal scan, as it is too early to do a normal kind until at least 11 weeks or something. we got to see the fetal sac as well as a yolk sac, which they said is about right for this stage. there won't be a visible fetal pole for at least anohter week, so they've booked me in for another scan in about 2 weeks. it was great to see something, even if the actual to be baby isn't visible yet. they said the doc's estimation is off, that i'm actually closer to 5 or 5 1/2 weeks pg, which is closer to what ff has me at.
so, i'm feeling a bit better now than i was sunday night through this morning, though i am still a little worried. at least i don't have to go to work! we did have to cancel our trip to the monkey sanctuary in cornwall though. that wouldn't exactly be taking it easy.
i'm so glad to be back here. i've missed posting and reading and basically keeping up with everyone!
hannah
