Cool Thin w/ natural period every month

I am curious how many other girls out that have been diagnosed with PCOS but have always had a normal period? This seems to be the biggest stump for my doctors on trying to figure out why I have PCOS but have a period every month without the help of medications.

It's really similiar to my problem. I have normal periods every month between 23-34 days, always have. I do have a problem with excessive hair and some acne, but not much. I do have the pearl looking ovaries, which i think is confusing every doctor b/c I do have periods every month. I've been told by three doctors it appears i ovulate.....but why can't I get pregnant? This seems to be the answer I am trying to find out. I'm just at the beginning of it all, so hopefully something will make more sense soon.

Hi there

I am regular and not actively trying but what ever happens happens...

I think it is more likely to happen when you least expect.

I don't have any of the symtoms and changed my doctor. After I have given birth my new dr. told me that I am fine and I will be able to conceive.

At the end of the day I leave it in G-d hands.

Chat to you soon

I also have a normal period and I ovulate normally. What made my gyno check for PCOS was my facial hair and acne, plus skin discolouration all over my back.

Hi
I also have a regular period and ovulate (I chart my BBT and use OPT). I don't have any hormone imbalances, weight, skin or hair problems but I do have PCO as diagnosed by U/S. I don't know how but after a while I just accepted it. I conceived my DS without any medication but I keep a check on it now that I'm TTC #2. I think the condition manifests itself in many different ways in different woman.

Default Also normal periods

When I first got off BCP, I didn't have a period for 2 months. So I went on provera to bring it on. Since then, I have had regular periods for six months now. I just started charting my BBT, but per the Ovulation monitor I've been using for the last 3 months, I have not ever peaked. My doc put me on Metformin, 1000mg, but I am having bad side effects. I even passed out this weekend. I don't think that I am ovulating, so we're hoping the Metformin helps.

I do have cysts, but none of the other side effects (thank goodness, except that I'm not ovulating).

I also am thin, with regular periods, no acne, or facial hair. I went to the fertility clinic because DH and I have been trying for over a year and they did an u/s and i do have the "string of pearls" on my left ovary. My Dr. put me on Metformin 500mg 3x a day. February is my month to gradually get use to the pill and next month we are starting clomid, ovidrel, and IUI. I would like to talk to someone with the same problem. Maybe by email! Good luck to all!!
