Default ThinCyster with Twice a month Periods!

Hi EveryOne
I am new here and very much confused. I am 20 years and not trying to conceive(not married yet but want to be ready to conceive right after marriage. marriage approximately in a year Hopefully ) So I was diagonosed with PCOS Dec 2006 and was on Yasimine for 2 months and on Provera for 4 months after discontinueing had one normal cycle and then back to TWICE a month ( its crazy, here I finish and just start to relax and here we go again). I'e read many of the posts and mostly PCOS women have no periods or very delayed periods. DOES ANYONE GET PERIODS TO OFTEN OR KNOW ANYTHING! Now on Yaz for the past 3 months and the Doc wants me to be on it for another 2 months. Had a pelvic sonogram done twice both of the times it was normal(althou it was not transvaginal). Have bit of hair on chin and stomach area( a bit of fattness too here). otherwise I am normal weight.
The only big problem is the LH and FSH levels 4:1 ratio without the pill and 3:1 ratio on the pill. I see an endocrine but not an RE. My internal med doc tells me not to take anything and have no worries.

I want to start taking Metfomrin(reading all the success stories inspires me and feel thats the right med for me).
Don't even know if I ovulate or even have ever ovulated
Testetorone(free) are at its peaks. DHEAS was high

Do I even have PCOS? Should I really start Metfomin(I so much want too!)
I feel stressed
Thank you So much for readin this. May you be rewarded for reading this thank you again.

Hey Nz, I am in pretty much the same place as you with marriage, timing, age, etc. I'm 21 and not TTC but want to as soon as I am married which (hopefully) I am anticipating to be within a couple years! My LH :FSH ratio was also 4:1. I just went off Yaz, which I was on for two months to regulate my "periods" that came every 20 days. I don't know what the heck happened but all of a sudden I got this heavy spotting (always brown) every 3 weeks. Very annoying. Anyway, the Yaz has seemingly solved the problem for now and I am having a normal cycle with ovulation right now but who knows what will happen in a few months.

All I can tell you is be wary of Vitex, because I think that is what started the spotting every 20 days for me. Oh and also I noticed having somewhat more regularity when I was EXERCISING. I am not overweight at all, 5'7 and 126 lbs but for some reason getting my blood going helped my cycles.

You could start charting to see what your cycles are like. That is what I do and it is really helpful, and when I am TTC I can show my Dr that I dont ovulate so that they put me on meds right away instead of waiting a year like they normally tell people our age to. www.fertilityfriend.com.

Oh, thank you june, your reply is much appreciated. Waao Congrats on the normal cycle and ovulation. Wish you the best of luck and prayers that you keep ovulating with an normal cycle. I wanted to ask after getting off from Yaz how many normal cycles have you had till now??
Thanks

NZ, I had that same problem a few years ago. I bled from Jan to October.
I was on Yasmin and met the entire time. My endo did u/s and could see something in there, but she had to enlarge me to see it.
Any how I did several rounds of antibiotics and she finally took me off the pill. My cycles regulated instantly! I know this did not answer your question but yes you can be PCOS and bleed all the freaking time! Just make sure your docs are being aggressive towards it!
