How did that help the belly button? Just wondering.
Breast milk has something in it that helps healing, I knew a woman once whose husband worked in the field one weekend, he accidentally rubbed his eye. He got a bad infection from the horse waste he was picking up.

She squirted breast milk in his eye and it healed very shortly after...now, I don't know why she thought of it, but she says it works! lol

I've heard that too about the breast milk thing...my mom swears to it too...never tried it myself just wasn't brave enough I guess lol.

For those that are gonna breast feed or are havin' probs with it DON'T BE AFRAID TO ASK FOR HELP...I had lots of probs tryin' to with my son n' got no where on my own & gave up after 2wks...got the help I needed from a lactation consultant with my daughter & was able to nurse her for 11months!

Breast milk will also heal conjunctivitis (pink eye). I did this with dd, put a little in her eye just like you would antibiotic drops and it got rid of it in about 24 hours.

I had problems breastfeeding as well and visited my LC a number of times. I finally settled for the next best thing - exclusively pumping. I pumped for my daughter for 7 months and the only reason I stopped was because I'm going abroad where my pump won't work. It's important for women to know that pumping is an option - it's more work but very rewarding.

Oh I agree that pumpin' works too although not for everyone I couldn't pump for some odd reason it would make my milk production slow down so to speak nothin' like the real thing latched onto ya I guess...so I opted not to pump at all the 2nd time around & did much better obviously lol...but yeah pumpin' is an option if it works for ya!

remember, things that work one week, might not work the next.

also your child may not like the bouncy chair/rocking chair/swing ect but try it again in a week or two and you might be suprised to find there next toy they LOVE!

my girls HATED with a passion the swing. now its the only thing that can calm them down. Im about to buy a seccond one (had twins) but i dont have space or money for a seccond one!

My little one wont wee or poop in her nappy if it's already wet, not unless she HAS to. She wait until I have taken the old one off, cleaned her up beatifully and usually just as I powder her bum or am adjusting the new nappy - BAM, she wee's or poops!! Or she does a wee while I am cleaning up her bottom mess and it goes all up her back and I have to change her singlet and clothing too! Watch for the wee-wee I say! x x
