I thought to myself " I'll care, I still want my dignity, I don't want people in and out while I am pushing etc..." Well, you really don't care. I was in the middle of pushing and the HOTTEST anesthesiologist came in to check my epi and I did not care. So it's true, you will not care, if you even notice.
And BTW my last post was only a few weeks ago, about why did I want a baby to disrupt my life? Well, it's so so much better now. We are still disrupted, DD does not like to sleep and she has reflux, but we are so much more relaxed about it and in love with her. So it is rough at first, really rough, but suddenly one day you realize how worth it it is and you don't mind anymore... |

well no sh!t... did she really think that I meant it literally?

It's great to get all this good information beforehand. It's also great to know there is support out there when my time comes!
Enjoy your babies!!

Sometimes, when you see you baby for the first time, you don't feel an immediate connection. When i had DS all I felt was fear.
They make a lot of noise when they sleep To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 10 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
They really like to bite...
As fragile as they seem, they can take a lot. I had accidents whith both my children. DS I tripped while carying him and his neck was jerked quite a bit-he was fine. DD I fell asleep with he on my belly on the couch and she rolled of onto the floor-she was fine too. Don't make it a habit to put them in those kinds of positions but don't beat yourself up too much if it happens to you. Learn your lesson and move on.
babies forgive you no matter what you do!
Letting them cry doesn't hurt them. Just don't let them go for long periods of time crying without you and check them first to make sure they don't need a diaper change, food, or a temperature change.

| Preemie clothes would have been too small for my daughter, who was 20.5 inches and 8 lb 6 oz. She swam in newborn clothes for a couple weeks, but wearing something too big won't hurt the baby.
I would only suggest buying preemie clothes if you have an actual preemie, a strong family history of small babies on both sides, or if you are of an ethnicity that usually has smaller babies (many of my friends from South Asia have small babies, around 5-6 pounds, so it would be worth it for them to buy a couple preemie outfits.) |

I agree. My son was 9.1lbs and was 20.9 inches long. Newborn sizes were a bit big on him at first but he quickly grew into them (like within a couple of weeks) and just as quickly grew out of them! He's now in 3-6month clothing. They grow incredibly quickly!!
