Question Thinking about trying Soy Isoflavones. Please Share you input and experiences

About 2 and half weeks ago and I was so upset that the doctor didn't want to start right away with Clomid but Metformin instead. DH and I so wanted to try and the TTC route but after doing research on Metformin we came to the conclusion that my ob-gyn made the decission for me to go on Metformin because he wants to see if I can get my hormones in check on my own before we introduce fertility meds.
Now for the question:
I have been do a good bit of research on Soy Isoflavones and I am concidering taking it and see if I can concieve now. We have been trying naturally for so long and after going to my ob and being told he wants me to wait and get more test done to see if it possible before he puts my body through fertility treatments. I know he is the doctor and nows best (maybe). But I want to try.
I am current on 1500mg of Metformin and taking it as directed. I should be finishing my provera Monday night and well I would like to try Soy Isoflavones at this time. Am I crazy?

I don't know about doctors knowing best, mine tend to be drug pushers in my humble opinion...

But I would say that having your hormones balanced for a bit before doing soy might be a good idea. I used soy and got a bfp, but then ended up having a m/c. It ended up being a clotting issue along with a couple of other things, but my doc did mention that with pcos if symptoms aren't controlled it can cause m/c, so it might be a good idea to wait a cycle or two and try the Metformin...
