Question thinning skin

Since I've been experiencing PCOS symptoms (7 years and still not diagnosed) I've noticed that my skin is becoming thinner expecially on the back of my hands. They are so wrinkly and look like the hands of a 50 year old not a 29 year old!
I can only link it to possible low progesterone which Im sure I have.
Has anyone else got this? Is there anything I can do to get my skin looking normal?
Thanks

If it is a problem with low progesterone, you can always use Natural Progesterone Cream (NPC) and see if that helps. It might help some of your other PCOS symptoms too.

Have you had your thyroid checked? Hypothyroid causes thinning skin. Just one possiblility

I do have alot of the symptoms of hypothyroidism but as yet all of my blood tests have returned as normal. As I havent been diagnosed its difficult to know what is really going on with my body. I've got an appointment with the endo in mid Feb so hopefully I'll get some answers as my symptoms are becoming more prominent.
As thinning skin isnt a symptom of PCOS it makes me wonder whether it is that at all. Its such a nightmare!

Unhappy Me too!

I used to have such pretty hands but now they look so old! I notice all the time how wrinkly they are, and it has just happened over the last year or so. I keep lotion in my purse and on my desk and am constantly lotioning my hands because they're so dry and papery-looking. (I too am only 29, and I'm getting married next year and imagining the close-up pictures of mine and hubby's rings. It will look like he's marrying an old lady! )

I was diagnosed as hypothyroid in November, and have been on thyroid meds ever since. Once I found out, I assumed the old lady hands were because of dry skin, a symptom of hypo. I didn't know about thinning skin.

So is thinning skin reversible? So far my thyroid meds haven't made me feel any different or changed any symptoms, but I've got my fingers crossed.

Thanks for the replies.
I had a quick search through my lotions and creams that I havent used for years and found Neutrogena hand cream and thought I'd give it a go. I've used it for a few days now and its made such a difference. If you havent tried it Drew then I recommend you give it a go. It would be wonderful if it works for you, especially with your wedding coming up!(Congratulations!)
I'm going to give the NPC a go too. I definitely think my body needs it.
Thanks again.
