If you were just on Clomid when did you ovulate in your cycle? How many mg were you on?
I am on 50mg and according to my temp. chart I ovulated on CD 27. Just wondering if this is normal or not? Any information would be greatly appreciated. I am very new at this. This is only my first round of clomid. TIA!

This is my first round of Clomid as well - 50mg. According to me temps on Fertility Friend, I O'd on CD18, but I never got a positive on an OPK test. (Those don't work on some women with PCOS.) Good luck!
On my first round I O'd on cd14; on my second round cd 18; and this last round cd15. Everyone response to Clomid differently... especially 50mg which is the lowest dose. Are you scheduled for a p4? That will show if you did O and how strong it was. My doctor didn't expect for me to O on the first round but surprisingly my p4 was 33 that cycle. Anything over 15 for a medicated cycle is good. I got a +OPK on my first and third round of clomid. I didn't test during my second round.

P4 is progesterone. It is often measured a week after ovulation -- a high value confirms ovulation really did take place. If the progesterone is too low, the doctor will usually move you up to a higher dose of clomid.

I was just at my GYN yesterday and we are going to finish out this cycle and see what my period does and she's going to start me on clomid also. What sorts of side effects are there to clomid? How much does it cost you? (I realize this answer could be different due to different insurance plans etc, but I"m just sorta looking for a ballpark number) Sorry to hijack, I'm just really nervous/excited about starting this whole ttc process and have alot of questions.

PM me about my Grandma's newly published Gluten Free Cookbook!
It cost about $30 for my clomid this month (50mg for 5 days, which is normally the starting dose) -- my insurance didn't cover it. Can't really tell you about the side effects since I started Metformin (which I paid $0 for, the insurance covered it since its listed "diabetic" medication, not a "fertility" medication.) at the same time, so don't know which side effects were caused by which drug! For what its worth, I was really tired for a while, but now I feel much better.

I ovulated last cycle on day 17 after a hcg injection with a IUI. p4 level was 11. Trying it again this month with 100mg of clomid. We are keeping our fingers crossed. I pay $10.00 copay for my clomid. NY requires insurance companies to cover oral fertility drugs with just a copay. My insurance also covers all fertility testing and the IUI procedure. IVF is not covered, but the bloodwork and sono's associated with IVF is covered. Injectables you have to use a mail away plan. Which is a set-up because you never recieve them in time to start your cycle. My HCG inj cost me $47.00 last cycle.
