The Alternative Bagel is made by the same people. I haven't tried them yet. I actually haven't looked for them yet though.

Thanks, MotorGirl, for the info! I'm definitely going to look for them, give them a try.

RamblingRose - I notice you're in FL. Check Publix (I'll let you know if I find them at mine!). I found this info about them: http://64.233.167.104/search?q=cache...ve+bagel&hl=en

THE ALTERNATIVE BAGEL™ COMING TO PUBLIX SUPERMARKETS

New distribution channel for FACT customer may significantly increase FACT’s future revenue

FREEHOLD, N.J. – January 14, 2004 – FACT Corporation (OTCBB:FCTOA), an independent developer and marketer of premium functional food premixes and products, and Western Bagel Baking Corporation, a privately-owned, California-based bagel manufacturer and retailer, today announced that The Alternative Bagel™, a reduced-carbohydrate product for diet-conscious consumers created by Western Bagel utilizing FACT’s Healthy Lifestyle™ ingredients, will soon be available at more than 750 Publix supermarkets.

Western Bagel’s marketing director, Ms. Corie Ustin, stated that each of the four varieties of The Alternative Bagel™ will be available at every division of the Publix supermarket chain, including stores in Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee, offering consumers a great-tasting, reduced-carbohydrate, reduced-calorie product.

With sales of over $15 billion in fiscal 2002, and more than 100,000 employees, Publix Super Markets Inc. is one of the largest and fastest-growing supermarket chains in the United States. Its dedication to outstanding customer service is well known in the supermarket industry.

“We are exceptionally pleased to see Western Bagel’s continuing success with The Alternative Bagel™,” said Jacqueline Danforth, CEO of FACT Corporation. “Western Bagel was one of FACT’s first wholesale customers, utilizing our unique Healthy Lifestyle™ premixes to create and produce The Alternative Bagel™.”

Ms. Danforth added, “The Alternative Bagel™ sales have steadily increased over the past year at Western Bagel’s 13 company-owned retail locations in southern California. Western Bagel also markets The Alternative Bagel™ through other prominent retailers, including Albertsons, Gelsons, Food4Less and Ralph’s, and at the same time pursues a very successful Internet sales campaign. With the introduction of this product to over 750 Publix supermarkets, both Western Bagel and FACT Corporation expect to see significant sales increases.”

For more information about FACT premixes and products, contact the company at (732) 780-9132 or via e-mail at jdanforth@factfoods.com. BTW, I found them, I get them all the time now, they are great!! I had checked several publix stores, turns out I was looking in the wrong place, they were in the bakery but you have to ask for them because they go so fast!! And if you want onion one's they go the quickest so you have to call around to see if any of the stores have them...lol. (At least in this area anyhow). Thanks! Sorry I didn't say thanks sooner, I completely forgot to check back this thread after I found them.
