Default For those that have had miscarriages after IUI..

Hello girlies!

I've been pretty quiet around here after my d&c a few weeks ago. Now I have a question as to where to go from here. My RE told me that I could try again after my HCG levels got down to zero. My #'s were pretty low to begin with, so I don't think they took too long to go down. I took a $ tree test about 8 days after my D&C, and it was basically negative. It had the faaainnntest line that could only be seen w/a magnifying glass, basically. I think my hcg is now probably most likely down to zero at this point. Being that I have PCOS, I don't want to wait for a period that might not even show on it's own. Should I call the doc to get things moving, or should I wait it out? Anyone have any experience with this?

I'm so sorry for your loss Gabbysmom. Miscarriages are so horrible and there are too many of us on this board that know that all too well.

I don't think there would be anything wrong with getting the ball moving again. See if your doc will give you something to jump start your next cycle. Or at least see if they will check you HCG levels to see how close you are to zero. I'd give them a call. Better to be proactive!

I had to have a little help from Provera to start my second period after my miscarriage. I had one period naturally after m/c. It was my choice to wait a couple of months to try again. I called RE's office when I didn't start and I had to wait until cd 37 before they would give the provera to see if I would start on my own. Hope this helps.

If your RE wont give you provera (cause I am told many make you wait for a natural period) you can try some Natural progesterone cream and see if you can invite AF over that way.

I have lots of left-over prometrium...would that do the trick? I will definitely call my doc first..I'd only do the prometrium if they didn't do anything. Thanks for the advice girls!
