Alot of girls have very irregular periods in the first few years and if she's very active that can make her even more irregular. Alot of female athletes and even some dancers don't get their periods until after they stop training and competing so you might want to give it some time. If she's still irregular in a couple of years you can take her for testing but I wouldn't want to worry her needlessly. I think its great that you are aware and informed and concerned for her, so many dads like to pretend that their little girl will never change!

About 2 weeks ago I ended my period. A few days after that I started getting some constant terrible pain that felt like a stress ball being squeezed in my left ovary. I have had small pains there in the past but nothing like this. It eventually stopped being constant and when my doc pushed on it, it sent a terrible piercing pain throughout my whole ovary that, for some reason, made my ovary feel like a water balloon with water around it as well. I got an ultrasound done and it showed I had "some small cysts." This was no consolation to the pain I was feeling. The pain has all but subsided now, but it is still present every now and then. I don't know what caused it or if I ruptured since I have non-stop spotting so it's hard to tell.
Please help.

My Mood: Points: 100.31 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 100.31 | Hi, I'm new to the site, I was diagnosed with PCOS and endometriosis after a laproscopy to remove a ruptured ovarian cyst in July '04.
What is it with Dr.'s? I went to the ER for extreme pelvic pain and the Dr. sent me home saying I had PID without even doing an ultrasound. It turned out it was an ovarian cyst larger than my uterus! Then, after surgery I continued to feel like crap and experience pelvic pain and my OB-GYN pretty much just said "Put heat on it - there's not much else I can do for you" I finally did some research and my dermotologist suggested that I see an endocrinologist. He has given me hope that I can be thin and healthy again....Is it really possible?

Curiousme, sometimes the fluid in the cysts will drain onto the body cavity and that can cause pain. maybe that is what's causing it. I got this info from my doc. She doesn't just know pcos she knows our website!

They are horrible! I also recently started having pain in my left side. It comes and goes and is not to bad right now. |

Points: 31.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 31.00 | I have had severly bad cramps before, during , and after my period since I was 16. I went to a OB/GYN and he told me that it was my bowels working over time when i was on my period. Now my current OB/GYN thinks it's endo on top of PCOS. I have to have laproscopy done to see for sure. |

But I had no problems getting pregnant with my son, and two miscarriages. I don't stay pregnant when I do manage a pregnancy also.
Good luck

Or am I just a mutant I was wondering if anyone else has skipped their period for almost a year, and started losing massive chunks of what I can only guess to be lining and NOT bleeding still. It's killing me with pain and all I have gotten is an appt. with the gyno in just over a month from now as a rush patient. They have taken me off all meds right now. Any ideas would be great. |
