Here's some good news. I feel that it is good because any research that is done on preventing IC is good news in my book. I don't know how practical it is as of yet, but it's good to know that it is being studied:

And as somebody who's had the stitch...it aint nothin compared to the alternative...but its nice docs and researchers are starting to get a clue...thanks for the info!!!
