...Do you go to the gyno with it shaved? (you know...it) I was just wondering, b/c I just shaved mine clean, and then realized my yearly exam is coming up soon. Do you think the gyno will think this is weird??

Doubtful... I think he has seen shaved ones before. And besides, it IS cleaner when shaved, so... It's very doubtful he would mind!

I went shaved. I think it would be very unprofessional if the doc said ANYTHING - if he/she did, I'd be finding another doctor!
I definately agree with you Jun! I mean...would you go to the dentist for your cleaning with nasty unbrushed teeth? We all brush our teeth before we visit the dentist, so why shouldn't we "tidy up the lawn" before we go to the gyno. I find that it's much cleaner this way and I'm sure the gyno appreciates that!
Yes, there should be a gyno on here! Of all the members on this board, one should think there would be at least one!

I love SC and that we can talk about anything on here! Anyway, I would think that more people tidy up than do not. I don't shave mine clean (hate the way it feels when it starts growing out ), but I do shave and trim with electric clippers.
I go with mine shaved and neither my gynecologist nor my RE have ever said anything. I did have a co-worker that was once embarrased because her gynecologist said "I can't hardly see anything because of all this hair you have down here" I would have died of embarrasment!

I usually just trim up down there for a regular appointment. I shaved it all off before I had my laproscopy done. I occasionally do shave it all off anyway. It is annoying when it's trying to grow back.

I trim it and neaten the bikini line. But now you've got me wondering - I've got a bald spot down there. Wonder what my doc thinks about THAT???

They don't care what it looks like. So long as it's clean. Hairy or as bald as Homer Simpson - it doesn't matter. They see so many of all shapes, sizes, colours, degrees of hairiness - you name it!
I have a friend who is a GP in a country town and she does pretty much all of the pap smears of the whole town, as she's the only lady doctor there. And she says that she doesn't take any notice of what they look like - she's only looking for abnormalities, symptoms and problems!
But if it's not clean - then she notices! She says that some of the baldest beavers are the smelliest and ickiest! Her exact words "I don't know why they spend all that money waxing and stuff when they're not going to wash themselves properly!"
So don't worry what it looks like - that's for your benefit (or your partners!) Just make sure it's clean before you go to the doc!
i always wonder what she thinks,,, but that's her job and i bet she's seen some pretty groos/weird stuff,,, so wheather trimed or hairless,,, as long as it doesn't stick your good....
