I finished the 3rd week of the pills on Oct 1st and should have had a period the next week. Well, it's Oct 10 and no AF. I should have started the next pack of pills last night but waited to talk to the doctors office first. I called them today but they didn't get back to me until this afternoon and they want to see me for blood work tomorrow. I've taken 4 HPT's and all negative. I did miss a couple pills in the 3rd week but if I were pregnant it should show up by now shouldn't it? I was wondering (or maybe just hoping) before AF was late that I might be pregnant even though I was on the pill. But one of my biggest pregnancy symptom I had was sore boobs and they aren't sore at all. I've been peeing alot and emotional but boobs are not sore.
I guess I should add that I was going to use the pill for 2 months to keep my hormones under control and after the 2nd month go directly to gonal-f. This is how I got pregnant last time. Hopefully AF not showing up doesn't mess up the timing. We were going to be cutting it close to Thanksgiving to begin with. Well, any thoughts?

You mentioned that you have been peeing a lot so that may be an indication of pregnancy. I experienced that in both of my pregnancies sans sore boobs.
Well, keep us posted with the bloodwork tomorrow. Wishing you the very best!

I had my m/c on 9/26, and started bcp 10/9 since I have to wait two months before trying with clomid again. Have you always been regular on bcp? I would think it'd be really strange to miss af if your cycle was always regular with bcp. But maybe I'm wrong. Maybe your body just needs more time to build up a lining like it had before the d&c. I hope for your sake that this doesn't mess up when you can start on gonal-f again! Keep us posted on what the doctors say. |

Well, the blood test says I'm not pregnant and doc said that my estrogen and progesterone indicated that I may be about to have a period on my own but they don't know why I didn't have a period on the pill. He doesn't want me to start the new pack of Yasmin. If I don't have a period in the next 3 weeks I'm suppossed to call and take provera to induce one. If I have to wait and take the provera then that's going to really mess up doing the gonal-f before Thanksgiving. I wonder if I start a period next week on my own if they'll let me go ahead with the gonal-f now and not wait the full 2 months. Hmmmmm. I just don't know if we will be able to come up with the $$ for the meds sooner. Why won't our bodies cooperate???? UGH!

Although I wasn't on birth control pills I began to worry myself about not having bleed especially after my first round of Provera. It was only after a second round of Provera that I started bleeding.
I look back now and think that it was probably my hormones trying to recuperate that caused the lack of flow.
Hopefully your hormones are still adjusting to what happened and your period starts soon.
Good Luck. |
