did you take herbs along with spi? if so, which herbs?
i'm thinking i probably shouldn't take vitex with spi since spi acts like clomid and clomid and vitex shouldn't be taken together...

This one contains the following amounts per serving:
genistein 36 mg
daldzein 21 mg
glycitein 3 mg

These are the active ingredients, the plant estrogens. If it only says isoflavones, but doesn't actually list the mg amounts of the specific ones, that is still probably okay, but then there may be some doubt about the dosage level.
There are several different methods that manufacturers can use to isolate soy protein. Depending on the method, the activity of the isoflavones may be active or rendered inactive (useless). Thus, if the label does not say isoflavones, the manufacturer probably used a method which destroyed the activity.
IMO, I would definitely make sure the label says isoflavones or something to that effect.
Good luck,
Cheryl

Technically, the isoflavones are normally PART OF soy protein isolate. However, as I mentioned in my earlier post, the way that the isolate the soy protein affects whether or not those isoflavones are still active.
Importantly, after the Nutrition Facts and list of the ingredients, it specifically states that the this soy protein isolate contains isoflavones.
Hope this helps.

Points: 42.00 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 42.00 | Hello,
I too tried the Isoflavones this month but not the kind you drink.
This is my first month on herbs and I wasn't ovulating, my dr is giving me a break before he puts me on clomid.
Well this is what I found:
Red Clover Complex - 40mg isoflavones per capsule
I take one daily
New Phase - Phytoestrogen support for women
80mg Isoflavones per capsules - also 1 a day
Vitex 500mg- take 2 daily
Well I know everything does not wotk for everybody but this is working for me. I am on cycle day 13 and my opk test was positive today, I have ovulating pain ( I had forgotten what they felt like) and lots of CF (creamy). And I know it was the herbs
Also feel much better, with more energy and the mood swings are gone. I don't know if I 'll get pregnant but I believe I am ovulating this month on my own .
Just couldn't help sharing this with other cysters, and I will keep you updated.
Thanks,
Annie |

This cycle I am trying soy isoflavone capsules that come in 750 mg. I'd do the powder again but I'm going out of town and the capsules will be easier to take and for travel.
Last cycle I also started 50 mcg of synthroid and a prenatal vitamin, otherwise, no other herbs or medications. This cycle I'm also adding 500 mg of glucophage.

good luck,
