And that was my motto for the day. I often have to remind myself to look at the brighter side of things. My PCOS often gets me down, but I have to find the humor in it to keep me smiling.
Today I walked into the bathroom and saw my DH shaving his face. I watched him and when he was done I said "now my turn!" My husband laughed since he knows that I DO need to shave my chin area, but I usually do it while in the shower and not around him. He laughed as I took his shaving cream and smeared it all over my face and then proceeded to use his "manly" razor to shave my stubble.
I don't think I would have had the courage to do this in front of anyone else. DH has been a wonderful support for me and my PCOS. Just thought I'd share my funny story. Those who are able to shave together stay together LOL!!!

You're absolutely spot on! I believe too that it's important to be open about shaving. I always refer to my "moustache" and "beard" if I'm mentioning anything about them to my dh.
I am the same hun me and my OH shave together and also some of my mates do not mind my mates talking to me when I am having a shave. I am quite open about to people who I know and they always say , "Suzanne we still love ya and it does not change who you are"

cute title for the post! oh, Suzanne, it's really gutsy of you to speak about it openly with your friends. I can't imagine doing it most of them. To one or two, I wouldn't mind discussing it, ofcourse feeling embarrassed. yeah! I am thinking now -- but, what the heck ... why should anyone feel embarrassed about this ...

I am but I don't know why. It's not like I brought it on myself. You know what I mean? I didn't say oh please give me pcos and hair on my face. I hate it but I deal with it b/c things could be a lot worse.

I know for me being open and honest and sometimes blunt and brutal about my symptoms/concerns w/ PCOS made it easier for me to deal w/ it. I wish when i was trying to figure out what the holy heck was wrong w/ me i knew someone who and it and was open about it....i can't imagine that ANY woman out there w/ it could not tell anyone, keep it to themselves, etc. like it's some shameful thing. I would go crazy if i wasn't here to have others to talk to..Can you imagine feeling that way about it and keeping it to yourself/private...you'd go looney.

You know I was asking DH today how he could still be attracted to me (I was thinner and not as hairy when we got together six years ago). He always is so sincere and makes me feel so good about myself. He had a sweet reply and I just know that he's a keeper. Two year wedding anniversary coming up soon!
Just wait...there's a perfect person out there for you too!
i don't think i would have found a guy like i got looking in my hometown. These guys out here are sooo different - if they aren't married w/ a kid at 25 they are panicing....no joke. Back in jersey-they are 35-still living w/ mom-still hanging on the street corner w/ 5 babies by 5 different moms w/ 3 girlfriends -
:o)

I used to be a 'closet tweezer/ shaver. But then I started unconsciously plucking my beloved (lol) chin hairs with my fingers. DBF caught on quick. I explained to him what was up and he was very understanding. Now I just go about my shaving business when I get ready in the am, whether or not he's around. We've had a few laughs about it, but he knows its a really sensitive topic with me so he is quite kind and gentle.
I've got the best man in the world!!!
