It was pretty obvious that I had incompetent cervix with my 23 week loss, so it happened that I was already with a specialist in that problem.... very fortunate. No matter what type of loss, though, it seems like a good idea to get a specialist's opinion, just in case there is something he/she will notice about your case. I was so incapable of making decisions at that time, though, I would have gone to anyone for another opinion if they had sent me. I wanted to rule out any and every other thing, so I guess if there had been much doubt about my problem, I would have looked at other options.
Best wishes!
