 Thoughts on my hair loss?
Okay - hair loss experts, here's my situation - please feel free to offer any theories!
I have been shedding for a few weeks, so I tried Nioxin. That seemed to make it worse, so I stopped after a week and tried the Nexxus Vitatress. The following day after using the Vitatress, my loss was cut in half that morning in the shower. Now - that morning I also found I was breaking out on my face - a possible indication of a hormone shift? If yes - from estrogen to progesterone? Because I'm in the second half of my cycle - I think I ovulated about a week ago. Would increased progesterone give me acne but reduce my hair loss ? Or would it increase my hair loss? Or is the acne unrelated to the hair loss - but rather - the decrease in hair loss is simply tied to my switch from Nioxin to Vitatress? I also noticed that my head itched like crazy on the Nioxin while I shed, but the same day I used the Vitatress, the itching stopped and the shedding stopped.
Thoughts?
I'm trying to determine whether the increase in progesterone helps my hair loss, or if it's just the shampoo. If it's the progesterone, then I am considering asking my doc about NPC?
