i think too much
i think of it all
when least expect the floodgates to reopen
i lie in bed
and flashes of the past flash brilliantly in my eyes
i remember lost loves
not just of the flesh but of the heart
i remember times when my heart was open and free ..just to breathe in the air enlightened my soul

i remember cheerios on sundays
and fireworks in the summer
i remember late night phone conversations
i remember my mothers hands brushing my hair
i remember my favorite childhood doll
and my kittens from my youth

i think that i think that i thought that i knew
all i know is the past..the future is yet to be told

i remember my parents....they have long been gone...
but i already have forgotten their voices..
but oh i remember where i came from

i think i have been bruised inside... and thats its time to heal


i think thats its up to me... to make my wishes real.....

i think i can do it...
i know that i can.
