Default Threading anyone?

Does anyone in Toronto thread instead of wax? If so, could you recommend a place (or two).

Thanks

Threading is a way to remove unwanted hair, that is popular in many parts of the world (particularly India & surrounding countries) -- see
http://www.spaindex.com/Lifestyles/Threading.htm or
http://www.hairfacts.com/methods/threading.html or http://www.keratin.com/ah/ah030.shtml

It is more gentle on your skin because it only removes the hair, whereas waxing can tug on your skin while removing the hair.

I know that there are places around that do it (see 1st link), but I'm hoping that someone can offer recommendations.

Perhaps a place in Little India?

Musigurl - Can you let me know what part of ontario you are located in, and I would be happy to recommend some places. I prefer threading opposed to waxing, as it is more accurate...

Hey musigurl,

I am familliar with locations in the GTA, I am not sure if you are near any of these areas....if you are in the downtown core - you may want to go on Gerard Street...there is a lot of indian shops there...

Sorry that I could not be of more help...

Yah, I know to try Gerrard St., but I was hoping for a recommendation instead of just wandering aimlessly -- anyone else have suggestions?

I thread!!
Man does it ever hurt.

I rather thread than wax, because I find that it lasts longer.

I only know places outside the GTA, in York Region. It's become a lot more common now, so it shouldn't be to difficult to find in Toronto.

How much does she charge?

I haven't been in awhile...so her prices may be a tad higher now but never by much. She was charging $3 for eyebrows incl. shaping. When I had my eyebrows/upper lip done it was about $5-6. I will warn you that she does not give prices over the phone and it's by appt only. Also, make sure you have cash on you. Hope this helps.
