Default three chemical pregnancies, when is it going to end!!!!

Why does this keep happening???? This is my third chemical pregnancy in the last 6 months. Am I ever going to be able to conceive and be pregnant for more than 5 weeks? Any success stories after multiple chemical pregnancies? I'm losing it and need some encouragement!

Hi Allison,

I know how you feel. I lost 3 pregnancies in a row, all before 6 weeks. My fourth pregnancy, I had a threatened miscarriage at 7 weeks that was the result of a vanishing twin. That loss after loss after loss is the hardest thing I've ever had to go through. But, as you can see in my signature, I finally had my beautiful baby girl this January.

It turns out, my problem was a uterine septum. After surgery to correct it, I was able to carry a baby to term.

Have you talked to your doctor about tests to determine why you have lost the pregnancies? After the third time, most doctors want to find out what's going on. There are many problems that can be corrected or managed so that this doesn't happen again.

Don't give up hope, as hard as I know it is right now. It can work out for you.

Debbie

Default Hugs Allison...

The other thought that came to mind is immune problems. I think 3 losses is more than enough to do a complete workup to discover the problem. I would push for it. Take care

((((big hugs Allison))))

I am so sorry for your losses. I agree with casey, after 3 m/c in a row, you are considered to have recurrent m/c and should get a full work up. I just finished with mine and my dr found a few things that may have contributed to my losses (my last loss was twins which is why I didn't have my work-up until I lost four babies).

You and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Thanks everyone for your replies. My Dr. is saying because the miscarriages happen so early (before implantation) that it doesn't warrant further testing yet! Do you guys agree with this or not!

Look for a different doctor! One who knows that you don't get a positive pregnancy test before implantation.... I can't believe a licensed physician would tell you that you miscarried before implantation. It isn't possible for that to happen. You can have conception that never implants, but you would never know about it.

Seriously, find a doctor who will give you a thorough exam to find out what's going on.

Debbie
