I am currently waiting on a diagnosis for PCOS.... kinda impatiently. But I also am wondering if I could have hypothyroidism. I have always had alot of symptoms, some of which go with the PCOS. I do have family members, like aunts and uncles (one uncle and two aunts) with hypothyroidism. I am curious to see if anyone else has symptoms, but cannot get a diagnosis. Every time I get my thyroid tested it always comes out normal. Not on the high or low side either... completely in the middle. My uncle had problems for years and was always getting tested. It wasn't til he got a thyroid antibody test that they found it. Has anyone else had this problem??

I am currently taking prenatals while breastfeeding. Looking forward to weaning so I can try some new medications!! Need to lose some lbs.

i too always have normal tsh, t3, t4 levels. just this week i had an anti-tpo antibody test which came back positive for thyroid antibodies. the reference range is 0.0-2.0. mine came back at 23. dr stated that is why i have been feeling so lousy and i may eventually end up hypothyroid. other than that she didnt seem too concerned so i am not really sure what the point of the test was.?.
