has anyone taken both at the same time?

My endo told me my thyroid labs were normal & started me on meridia & met - then a highly recommended thyroid Dr. said my labs weren't mormal & started me on Armour thyroid but said I needed to stop the Meridia immediately, I didn't question him @ the time but now that my binge eating problems & weight gain is returning I'm wondering why I cant be on both?
I dont see him for another month and I really want to start the meridia again, I know I should just call him but I really dont like letting people know how much my weight affects every second of my day & I dont want him to take me off the thyroid meds of course.

has anyone heard of a reason of why you cant take both together?

I have never heard of this before, I was taking Levoxyl and Meridia and granted I didn't take them together, I took my thyroid meds in the morning first thing then 2 hours later took my meridia. I would be doing some research on google to figure this one out.
