Hello!
Well. it's gone! Thyroid out and away. I have a lovely big stitch all across my throat, but it fits in really well with the shape of my neck so I'm sure it won't be very noticeable at all.
Not really sore either, bit I am SOOOOO tired (and a little bit fed up!!)
My results of the biposy (from what was removed) will be back on Thursday. I'm really scared about this, so please keep your fingetrs crossed for me!
Thanks - and I'll post to say what the outcome is.

So glad it went well, kirst! Fingers crossed for good news on the biopsy. Did they hazard a guess for you after the surgery? After mine they said it looked benign, but of course only the biopsy could say for sure. But I think some surgeons would not be willing to hazard such opinions. Keep us posted!

Thanks Jessica!
Yes, I'm feeling much, much better, and now my mind's stopped churning round like crazy, I think I'm pretty much recovered. I'm due to start my new job on Monday, so I feel very grateful that it's all sorted out....
THANKS so much for your posts - they really helped!
Love

I am so glad that everything went well for you. When I had my surgery, my Doctor closed up the incision with staples. That week after the surgery I had a neck full of staples that looked like a necklace LOL. My scar looks great, barely noticeable. Have they got you on a thyroid hormone replacement yet?
Take care.
