Default Thyroid supplements

Has anyone tried Thyroid supplements like Standard Process Thytotrophan or Nutri-Meds Brand Thyroid. They say that they have whole dessicated thyroid just like Armour Thyroid medicine, but I believe that they have both T3 & T4 whereas Armour only has the T4.

Armour has T3, T4 and all the other elements of a functioning thyroid such as T1 and T2 (we don't know what effects those two have yet so it isn't widely discussed).

It is synthroid, levoxyl, levothroid and such that are T4 only.

In my experience supplements such as that are flying by the seat of your pants. With thyroid hormone replacement you need to monitor your thyroid levels and cater your medication to treat you to optimum levels. You cannot test your levels without a medical labratory drawing your blood and running the proper tests. Without testing your levels you cannot be sure if you are doing well. Many symptoms of overmedicating mimic symptoms of undermedicating so you can easily get confused and harm yourself.

It has also been my experience that dosage is not regulated in such supplements. So while they say you get so many mg of this and that, it actually can fluctuate quite widely.
