Hi Everyone,
I notice its REALLY quiet around here - how is everyone??? Hope you all had a great Easter break...
I haven't been on here for a while, hubby has been on holidays and we've been keeping busy. We took a couple of trips away - just overnight stays, but it was very refreshing to get a change of scenery... And we ripped out our front garden and re-did it - it was full of weeds that we just couldn't get rid of, so we decided the only way was to replace the soil!
Lyssy is 5 months now and going great - she's getting around the floor, sliding on her tummy, and on the weekend she started to get up on her hands and knees.... She is growing up WAY too fast...
I'll post up some photos later, I'm late for a clinic appt now (lost track of time!!)

I've been really busy with the gardening too. I recently put my house on the market and we had a big clean-up over the Easter. Still heaps to do, seeing as I can always find better things to do than housework :o
My health has been really good lately and the boys are good too. My 15 3/4 yo daughter may be a different story though. I'm taking her to the doctor this afternoon to see about having some bloodwork done. She's been losing a lot of hair lately and she feels the cold more than the rest of us so we'll get her thyroid checked. So far her cycle is OK, but it wouldn't hurt to have her testosterone, estrogen and progesterone checked while we're at it.
If you don't see much of me for a while it'll be because of the house.
I hope everyone else is well.

It certainly has been quiet around this neck of the board, and I keep forgetting to post in this thread, so today is the day LOL
Well lots going on here. I'm finally a DW lol. We got married in Sydney on 6th April 2004 in a lovely garden/park wedding with about 18 family members in attendance. We then had a wonderful dinner a local restaurant as our reception. Then as a wedding gift, my new in-laws paid for us to spend the night at a lovely B&B. We have lots of photos, a few of them I have put on my website, if you want to have a peek the url is... http://www.geocities.com/farfriction/pagesix.htm
Bubs is doing great. We had our big scan done on Tuesday and found out that we are having a healthy little boy. All his bits are in the right places, no extras or missing parts which was a relief as DH and I decided not to have any of the screening tests done (nuchal fold etc) as we didn't want to be worrying if something came back abnormal. We have seen it too many times now that its come back abnormal yet nothing is wrong with bubs. I'm getting lots of kicking and moving which still amazes me I so love being pregnant!! I'm also attaching a pic of him from this last u/s.
I had a few days in hospital last week due to renal colic (kidney stones) which was pretty nasty. But i'm all better now thank goodness and trying to drink even more water (anymore and i'm going to float away!).
My weight is doing really well. In the first 10wks of pregnancy I lost 7kgs. I then put on 1kg and stayed at that for 2 weeks before losing another 2kgs. What that really means is that i'm FINALLY under the 100kg mark and boy am I happy about that!!! I can't remember the last time that I was in double numbers instead of triples
Anyway, Nic, where are those pics of Lyssy lol Sounds like you guys are all doing really well! I can't wait to see how much she has grown.
Tas, how is the house going? Has it sold yet? Wishing your DD all the best with those tests. I so hope that its just a teenage phase she is going through and not PCOS. The good thing is I guess if it is, at least she has a very knowledgable Mum who will help her with it!!
How is everyone else doing? Would love to hear some more updates from you girls!
My dd's tests were normal so we're just keeping an eye on things for now. If she's still worried about things later, we'll see a naturopath.
The house hasn't sold yet. One guy has been back for a second visit with a builder, but he can't make up his mind. The agent was going to call him this afternoon, but we've been out so we haven't heard from her yet. There has been quite a bit of interest in it - hopefully soon.

And your son is gorgeous!!! Is he sticking his tounge out??? Cheeky already!!!
Tas, glad your DD's tests came up ok, and good luck with the house stuff...
Now sow off time - Lyssy has a new trick, on the weekend she started saying mum-mum-mum and bub-bub-bub, but she hasn't done dad-dad yet.... its so cute!!!

OK, I'm jumping in pathetically late.........just haven't really had much to say lately (geez, that would shock some folks ).
I had to say how GORGEOUS your Lyssy is Tollee !!!
She is growing up so quickly and she is soooo beautiful.
Mandi - you looked beautiful on your wedding day (but I already told you that ). I hope you are enjoying married life and are getting really excited about the arrival of your precious son. We are SERIOUSLY getting together soon - I'm going to pm you right now!!!!
Tas - glad to hear you are well and your boys are too. I need to get out in my garden too - just always seem to find something else to do. I want to start a vege garden in the near future.
Nothing to report here. Lach and I have both been sick. Last week we both had gastro and this week I have a severe case of toncilitis. I am just starting to feel ok tonight - but generally feel like I've been hit by a train (.......and that it has backed up a few times and run over me again!!). Oh man, listen to me, I'm having a moan.
On the ttc front......we have had a 2 month break after 2 failed clomid cycles. I will be starting again next month so please keep us in your thoughts and prayers. I didn't think ttc would be so daunting the second time around - in fact I was feeling quite cocky and confident about it........not the case now.
Lach is doing really well - growing like a mushroom, and despite his bout of gastro he has been in great spirits. Loves a yarn and a bit of a song and dance......and by God can he throw a tanty!!!!
Still the greatest blessing in my life though .
That's it from me.
Hope you're all doing really well.
Hey Amy,
Sorry you and Lachy haven't been feeling so good, hope you're both all better now....
How old is Lachlan now? Nearly 2???? WOW!! that time has flown by.... Its amazing how quick they grow up!
Good luck with your next clomid cycle! I was a little anxious earlier this week that I might be preggas again, but I tested a negative.. Afterwards I didn't know if I was glad or sad... I'd kinda talked myself into the idea of having another newborn - so innocent and sweet... (still no AF though, and I keep having these wierd feelings in my tummy like a baby kicking - but it must be wind LOL!!)
So you can borrow my baby dust that I'm not using at the moment - hope it is helpful to you and I'll have back whatever's left, this time next year (if I don't get too clucky before then)!!!
OUR UPDATE: We're getting ready for Alyssa's christening on Sunday. I made the cake yesterday, I'm pretty proud of it! I'll attach a photo... It still cost me about $40 to make but its cheaper than $90 from the shop... Her gown is so pretty, she is going to look gorgeous! I'm just worried about the whether now, its been raining this week, not looking forward to the mud on our carpet....

I am running to raise money for Breast Cancer research! Mothers Day Classic 13th May 2007
Now that is one VERY IMPRESSIVE cake Nic!!!!
Well done - I'd be very proud of that if I was you .
I hope you have a beautiful day for Lyssy's christening. You'll have to let us know how and goes..........would love to see some photos too .
Thanks guys, I don't have any photos yet, but the christening went well. Alyssa was so funny, she was making eyes at the Priest, and laughing at him, and when they put the water on her head, she thought it was wonderful! She was the only one that didn't cry at that part, she was squealing in delight instead!!!
It turned out a beautiful day too, the weather was awesome! And she was such a good girl - happy all day, and she didn't sleep at all... I tried to put her to bed, but she didn't want to go to sleep - to much action...
The cake tasted alright too! I have to confess though I did have help with it from my MIL. She did all the pipe work, and we cheated and bought the decorations.... so I'm really not as clever as you all first thought!!
Anyway, I have some cleaning up to do, so better get back to it...
Just dropping in to say Congrats to Tollee on your "surprise pregnancy", how wonderful. Hope you are feeling well so far and enjoying it all.
Amy, how are you going with the ttc stuff, & everything else?
Mandi, not long to go now you must be getting excited. The wedding pics were great, hope you are enjoying married life.
Tas, hows the house sale going? Are you planning to move far?And your daughter, hope things are going well for you both.
Anyone else reading...How are all the Aussie and Kiwi cysters going? It's been so quiet in our forum lately, maybe it's a winter thing. Would love to hear from you all.
I've been a bit more hormonally challenged of late but apart from that I'm great!!! I've moved into a new area in my job which is interesting and fun.
PS: If anyone has any spare rain, please send it our way (nsw).
Hope everyone is well. Hope to hear from you all soon, good luck with what ever you are doing in your lives,
rhon.

It's sold! We had to wait 2 weeks for the purchaser's finance to be approved, but everything was cleared yesterday - YIPPEE. I've also found a large (1/2 acre) block to build on. Not moving far, but it's closer to where my youngest will be going to high school year-after-next. That's why I haven't been around much lately, and probably won't be for quite a while, now. Everyone is well, though, of course, this selling/buying/building stuff is pretty stressfull.
