I was just prescribed Clomid, and I start it Saturday.

Does anyone have any strong opinions about when to take Clomid? My DR. and the prescription instructions do not specify.

I hear that many people take it at night to reduce side effects, but I'll take it whenever I need to if taking it at a certain time would help it to be more effective!

i heard a lot of people take it before bed to reduce side effects. Truthfully i was on 250mg and had no side effects so i used to take mine in the morning with all my other meds. I dont think it really matters what time of day you take it though.

I took mine last cycle at like 8pm. This cycle. I am trying 4pm -- I dont think it is going to make a difference. BUT... worth a shot.

Otherwise, well be moving to IVF for the following cycle!


Currently on 1500mg of Metformin, prenatal and ferraous sulfate.

My doctor wrote my prescription for "in the evening," so I took it around 5pm. I had s/e all night and day anyway, so I'm not sure it helped to take it later in the day. I believe the most important thing is to take your pill(s) at the same time each day, no matter what that time of day is.
