Before WLS, I was faithful at taking Met I took a 1000mg at night and I never seemed to have any problems at all! Just never brought my cycle on but that could be due to beign severly overweight, now that I have lost 70lbs and I went back on it and started taking it during the morning hours I felt very dizzy and over all sick to my tummy. I am thinking of taking it again but at night but my dosage is 1500mg now isn't that too much to take at once?

I also split mine up- I'm on the XR. I take 500 with breakfast and the higher dose, 1000, at night. I find that splitting it up and making sure I take it with meals really decreases the side effects, as well as taking the higher dose at night.
I just tried taking mine at night. It really helped. I am on the lower 500mg dose. If I take it during the day I have the bathroom "issues" but at night there are no problems.
When I first started met back in Sept. 08, I took my pills at different times a day, one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one at night. But, I still felt sick, weak and dizzy. So, now, I take a 1,000mg and I take both pills at night with milk and I feel so much better, maybe because I sleep through all the s/e. I don't get diarrhea, but sometimes I do get bubble guts if I eat too much sugar.

When I took mine regualarly I split mine up as well. But maybe it will help of you take a lower dosage in the morning and then the rest at night.

Hmm well I am taking 750mg at night and that is it for now. I will hae to start taking it in full mgs soon I am sure I wil tell the doctor though.
Problem is I am having severly sore breast again this month could Met. be the reason for this?

I have never had breast tenderness with met, but I take 500 mgs in the morning with breakfast, and 500 at night. My doc wants me to possibly work up to 750 in the morning, and 750 at night. I have found that eating less processed carbs really helps me with the tummy symptoms, other than that, just time!
