I'm curious - why is it if you search for something and then search again you are told you have to wait 30 seconds?? It's frustrating when you spell something wrong...

Soulcysters is a HUGE site, with HUNDREDS of members on the board at any given time, as well as, another several hundred visitors.

Searching (which also includes clicking the 'new posts' link) is EXTREMELY server intensive so the system has created a way to regulate the flow.

Without the 'flow' meter, the site would crash on a regular basis do to server overload.

I'm assuming that since this has escalated to the point of being a 'frustrating' issue for you that you make a lot of spelling errors. (Don't be embarrassed, I do, too).

You might want to use the FireFox browser which checks spelling 'as you type'. It's very handy, and might help alleviate your frustration. It's a simple fix.

Just a gentle reminder to everyone during this holiday season: It's a stressful and turbulent time for many people on many fronts (jobs, homes, etc).

Please try to keep 'perspective' on things that are genuinely frustrating (and out of our control) vs things that are relatively minor (and fixable).
