Mine is the same as what you both have described momma king and 2manybooks2 little time.
when im bored and when noone is around, i sit infront of the fan sometimes.
My little tiny bumps on my boobies go mad and stand out making it easier for me to indulge in my fix in plucking those little white suckers out and pulling out a few hairs to.

Thank god for you ladies. Yeah, I get these too, and I don't mind 'em so much (they're usually pretty invisible on me)---what I DO mind, however, is the ones that show up on my stretch marks. They almost look like a line across the stretch mark, and you get the fine hairs/white material from them. Those ARE noticeable, and if I don't pay attention, they can turn into major "zit" things, which are a nightmare. It's not HS, I don't think---looks nothing like those pics. Anyone get these, too?

Ladies,
I am a lab tech. and I used to perform ECG's. I have seen *tons* of bewbs
Trust me, this is so common/normal.
Pleeeease don't pinch, pluck, or pick at them. That will lead to scaring and larger pores for more 'stuff' to collect!!
No one notices but you!
Trust me!
:-)

Yes, yes, yes!! I have had these on my nipples since my first son was born 7 years ago, and have HATED them ever since!! Is it a PCOS symptom, because I really believe that is when I started having PCOS? Thankyou so much for bringing this up, I thought I was a freak!

Oh. My. GOD. I literally joined this site less than a minute ago after reading this thread (and a few others.)

I have these plugs of stuff too, on my boobs, and as novachick said, on my stretch marks, and those turn into zits if I'm not careful to pluck them. i HATE this. Of all the things that make me feel ugly (being tall and overweight mostly) this hits me the hardest, because I would love to just have soft, touchable skin that doesn't feel like chicken skin!!

Holy, holy CRAP. I searched and searched (and believe me, if there's anything to be found on the internet about a topic, I can find it!) but came up with precious little about this phenomenon.

What I do know for certain is this:

1. Those bumps are made up of plugs of dead skin and sebum, and are (or are related to) whiteheads. In short, clogged hair follicles.

2. The same thing happens with piercings - they collect sebum and dead skin cells. That's the white gunk you can squeeze from them.

3. A similar condition exists, which I have, called keratosis pilaris, where hair follicles get plugged with skin and excess keratin, resulting in a "chicken skin" goosebumpy feel and look. Sometimes the bumps are red, sometimes not. It has to do with the skin not sloughing off in a timely fashion and clogging up the follicles. I have the red bumps on my forearms, the back of my upper arms, and the back of my thighs. (Anyone else with this?)

4. White bumps on the areolae/nipples that produce oily stuff when squeezed are likely Montgomery's Glands. They're oil glands for the areola.

Thing is though, where did this COME FROM?!? I have 2 kids and noticed that it started after my 1st but get much worse after my 2nd and hasn't gotten any better. (My baby is 4 1/2.)

Geez.... sorry for the rambling post. I am just elated that not just one but several more people have the same issues I do. (More on the other issues in another post, though.) Seriously, I did a total happy dance when I came across this thread.

So for those of you that have this, when did it start and do you have similar weird bumpy skin issues elsewhere on your body?

Funkadelica, I'm the same, I got them after having my first. I went to the doctor, and she just waived her hand and dismissed them, saying they were 'normal'. I just thought, then why have I suddenly got them!?

I wonder if you could apply a face mask to the areas where we get our bits and bumps. If its just pores clogging up then maybe it might work. ?

I don't have the problem with scarring, though, unless I inflict too much trauma on the skin around a spot. Thanks for posting about this...I don't feel alone now!
This makes perfect sense!! Good explanation!
