DO not pop them. Mine have become infected in the past and I had to put antibiotic ointment on them and gauze. I am crazy with the picking. I think it is a form of acne.

Mine are tiny tiny little hairs (I tend to think of as feathers, I don't know why lol) and often have white thick substance if pushed.
Sometimes they turn into like a whitehead or acne looking head and I HATE IT!!!!!!!!
What are they do we think?

My Mood: Points: 6,344.30 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 6,344.30 | So i thought it was just me who got those weird white clumpy like acne on my boobs. I am so glad its not just some crazy me thing! I am obsessed with plucking the little white clumps out and sadly have several painful "owies." Now I am afraid one is becoming infected, but I am way to embarassed to mention this to my doctor. Any thoughts? If I actually can bring myself to leave it alone you think it will heal on its own?
Once again so glad I am not a freak with something no one else has!
This is why I love this board!

Points: 114.42 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 114.42 | I'm so glad I found this thread!!!!!!!! I'm so glad I found this. Mine sound the most like MissChrystal's. The only difference is that I don't have to push at them to get the white substance. The white substance kind of sticks out. I can grab it all with a tweezer. The hairs are very fine, sometimes more than one (feather is a good description). They almost look like tiny little fibers instead of hairs. I asked my OB about them last year and he thought it was just from dampness (when you are a 42DD it does get damp under there LOL). Except I've had them for 8 years (6 years before my diagnosis, so I didn't think they were related).
I've been searching the internet and when I used the word "fiber" I got a bunch of hits for a horrifying sounding disease called Morgellon’s Disease. Scared the crap out of me (except the people describe this as a quick onset and I've had this for 8 years). I'm so glad I found this! It's actually a relief to know it's PCOS related!! |

My Mood: Points: 179.53 Bank: 0.00 Total Points: 179.53 | Hi everyone !!! I only joined today, I came by this website by accident but i am sooo glad it happened. I typed in a question to google about these little bumpy things on my boobies and eventually i found this wonderful site.
I have not been diagnosed with pcos because i havent been to my docs yet. I hate going there , they are a bit erm 'houghty toity' lol but i do think i display some of the symptoms.
I am very glad to know that ' titne' is quite a common thing. In fact it makes me smile, sooo many of us women get embarrassed about our bodies and we sholdnt really because we are all the same when it comes down to it but in different ways , if that makes sense lol
Anyway this website is brilliant because its so refreshingly honest and welcoming.
Now back to the titne lol, anybody had sucess in getting rid of them? :0) |

I have also had these white bumps, my friend had similar on her face. I do have the problem with the white stuff in my ear piercings, I thought that was calcium deposits, not soap. I never wear earings much, but I am always after that stuff because I get little bumps right in the holes and the get itchy. I am a picker too lol.

My Mood: Points: 1,745.06 Bank: 4,047.44 Total Points: 5,792.50 | Ok girls, is this it? acne.org has a variety of info. whiteheads-mag.gif
Whiteheads: Whiteheads result when a pore is completely blocked, trapping sebum (oil), bacteria, and dead skin cells, causing a white appearance on the surface. These types of acne lesions sometimes seem to be begging to be popped. Make sure you read about how to pop a pimple before you attempt this. Whiteheads are normally quicker in life cycle than blackheads. You can view a diagram of a whitehead on the what is acne page.
