Default Tired ALL the time...?

anyone else tired all the time?
I can sleep 10 hours and still feel like i can barley function physically. It's starting to worry me kinda, it doesn't feel 'normal'.

A lot of people have posted here with extreme tiredness, it seems unfortunately to be one of the fairly common problems with this syndrome. It often happens because many PCOSers also suffer with sleep apnoea and/or restless legs, which messes up your normal sleep patterns and causes tiredness. Do you have anything like this?
I suffer with extreme fatigue, but I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia also and it's a pain, in all senses of the word!
Hope you start to feel better soon.

I'm unreasnoably tired all the time too. I can sleep for 12 hours and still have severe trobles getting out of the bed!
My mom tells me it's because I sleep too much, but it's even worse when I sleep the normal 7-8 hours a day...

I just HATE being tired all the time!

I am always exhausted. I'm like you, I can sleep for 10 hours and I still have to drag myself out of bed, I could take a nap any time of the day.
I think my problem is that I might have Celiac Disease I have read that it can make you sleepy/not have much energy, my co-workers son has it and she said his energy was really low before he was diagnosed.
Mono is another possibility, is there any chance that may be the cause?
You could also be anemic, I would go to the doctor and get some bloodwork done, especially if it has been a problem for a long time.
I've been having this problem for almost 2 years, I can't wait to find out what the cause is...my friends joke that its laziness but I would love to have energy and be able to get up a decent hour and get things accomplished!
Good luck, hopefully you find out what the cause is!

I once slept through an entire weekend and was still tired. I woke up with headaches every day. I fell asleep at the wheel if I drove more than 10 miles. And then I had a sleep study done, and that and a CPAP machine saved my life. I have sleep apnea.

thanks for the replies so far!

i don't have sleep apnea.. i should probably get my iron levels checked.. and i wouldnt be surprised if it was my thyroid because i was on some naturalpath stuff last year for thyroid and i felt a lot better, it also gave me the energy to exercise and stuff thugh, so i may have been feeling better because i was exercising though. I just cant seem to have a good day energy wise to get started again. arg!

Ohh, I'm sorry, I didn't think that you'd had a sleep study done.

I would check out the thyroid then. It has a huge part in your energy level or lack there of.

I am tired all the time too. I know that I don't sleep well. I am up at least 4 times a night to go to the bathroom.

Me too, maybe that's why I am tired all the time too. I never put the two together cuz I can go right back to sleep when I get into bed. But first falling asleep at night it takes me one to two hours to drift off.

I'm always tired. I go through phases where I'm ok, and then phases where I just can't sleep enough. I attribute it to the fact that I'm overweight. Once I start to take vitamins I feel much better. Iron deficiencies can make you tired.

I know exactly what all you wonderful, beautiful girls mean. I honestly feel tired all the time. Somtimes I sleep so much and then sometimes I dont sleep at all, it seems I cant get a normal sleeping pattern. I agree with the other cysters hun about going to a doctor to be checked for anemia and underactive thyroid...and just having your blood drawn. Sometimes extreme fatigue can be a sign of an underlying problem. I just wanted to let you know that you are not alone....::Hugs::

I love you girls!

Just call me sleepy

I am having more problems sleeping now than ever. I wake up throughout the night, and although I can go back to sleep fairly quickly, it disrupts my sleep. I have no health insurance, so to spend God knows how much $ to check this out, is not an option at this moment. I'm always tired, and p*ssed off, or depressed lately. I hope you feel better soon! And let us know if the doctors find anything. Take Care!

I'm tired all the time too. Extreme lack of energy and this comes from a person that was always on the go. I do get up at least 2-4 times a night to go to the bathroom and about every other night my 6yr. old daughter is calling to me to come sleep with her. It is funny that I still sleep so lightly now that my kids are 12 and 6 but I do. My Aunt was diagnosed with sleep apnea after she found out she had breast and then lung cancer. They say many people with sleep apnea end up getting cancer because your body gets run down from lack of sleep. She has a machine now and she loves it. She never slept more than 2 hours at a time if that. I am the same way. I wake up to use the bathroom or something and can't get back to sleep because I start thinking or worrying. By the time I doze off it is time to get up to use the bathroom or I just wake back up because I turned over, or my hubby is snoring or my cat is snoring. I too could sleep all day. I never feel rested and I wake up almost every day with a headache.

My dh can fall asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow. (it makes me so mad)
