Default Tired/dizzy on Spiro???

I started 200mg like a week or so ago. Did anyone here get lightheaded and and fatigued on it?? Does it ever go away? I am going to drink some Gatorade and see if that helps in case it is dehydration.

Hmmm, I know that on my bottle there is a sticker warning about fatigue. Maybe you could try easing into it? like starting at 50mg and upping it 50 every week until you're back up at 200? I don't have the problems you're describing, but I'm only on 50mg.

Continue using spironolactone and talk with your doctor if you have any of these less serious side effects:

mild nausea or vomiting;

dizziness, headache;

gas, stomach pain; or

skin rash.

These are considered mild side effects. My dr and pharmacist said it's not much to worry about unless you start noticing irregular/elevated/slower heart rate and/or muscle weakness. Then you should definitely seek medical attention!

My mum had this problem when she tried spiro. She almost fainted because spiro lowers your blood pressure and she already had blood pressure which was kinda low.. this might be the same situation you are in.
She is on androcur now instead.
