Every night i have to make dinner for one. it is quite disheatening. My husband lost his job in march due to company downsizing. So he took a job at a beer distributor own by our friend. the problem is that he works all nights. I am a nurse and i work mostly days. i never get to see him. The only day off he gets is sunday. I only get one sunday off a month. he was recently offered a job in his field and he turn it down. it was a monday thru friday, 9-5 and more money. He said he just didn't want to do that type of work anymore. i just can't take being alone all the time. i try to tell him that and just keep blowing me off.

your DH cares enough about you to work and pay the bills, and you get some alone time to work on a hobby or read or relax or pamper yourself. Maybe you could get a girl friend to come over once a week and have a "girl's night".
I love being alone! I'm not saying I want to be alone forever, but right now I get NO me time at all. I'm always on call to fix drinks, cook food, bring aspirin, fix boo-boos, open popsicles, rub necks, and do chores. Even when I go back to work, it won't change. I'll work all day and be an call all night. So, the way I see--treasure this time!
I know how you feel. I normally eat supper in front of the computer, going through posts on SC--that way it feels like there are people around! (((hugs)))
