To begin with.... I cant say how happy I am that I have PCOS and i finally understand why i see what i see. Its a great sense of closure. I am in tears most of the time i type here because because its not this mystery illness anymore.
Tiredness. I am super tired all the time. Especially lately since i have been put on Glucophage, BCP's, Pre natal prescription medicine due to my low ferritin levels in addition to my Hypothyroid medication for the past 10 years. To be precise this is how i feel -
At around 10 PM i feel weak my eyes start closing and around 11 PM i am so weak that i want to plop into the bed.
I sleep like someone who hasnt slept for 3 days. Pretty close to knocked out.
I sleep around 10 hours and i need 10 hours which is more than my usual 7-8.
My legs ache - especially my thighs. It dosent pain. It feels more like tension and stress in my thigh muscles.
I feel nauseous once in a while.
Overall i am tired all the time, People ask me if i am overworked when they see me. Friends ask me why i look so tired even if i see them after a make over.
The tired ness i have felt before most of the medication. Some symtoms are a result of the medication. its hard to differentiate since i am paying more attention to the symptoms after the diagnosis.
Dear Cysters, do you feel the same? How are you dealing with these symptoms. What helps? Should i do more vitamins? Should i work out more. Any foods that may help.
Please dont tell me its in the mind. I keep being told this and i know its not in my mind. i know when i feel tired and not normal.
Thanks,
Are you currently taking any vitamins? That could help with some of the tiredness, and drinking lots of water. I'm not the best with keeping up with the vitamins and stuff, but when I do it does really help.

Yes I am anemic too. a few birds with one stone I must say.
I went to the doctor complaining about pain in my vagina during intercourse and my final diagnosis was PCOS , vulvodynia and anemia.
Welcome cyster! I know what you mean, it's still enough to bring tears to my eyes that my cysters are always here and understand what I'm going through.
:Hugs:
I'm so sorry to hear that you're struggling with fatigue. The times that I've been the most fatigued was when my blood sugars were too high (for me that was during pregnancy) and during my depression. Just a couple thoughts there for you, hope it helps. I think it's great that you're taking vitamins and I do hope the met will help too as time goes by.
Hope you feel better soon hun, we're here to help you through this.
Hugs
Jenny

Welcome Cyster!!
I too am tired alot but also I have a problem with sleeping. After I get to sleep I am fine and sleep the whole night anywhere from 8-10 hours.... The problem comes in when I try to get to sleep. I cant quiet my mind. My doc says that it is related to the pcos because of the depression. I am dealing with the depression alot better most of the time but at night when there is nothing else to keep my mind busy it gets rough.
