I would look into a good (and I do mean good...the one I take costs $45 a bottle) adrenal support supplement. Exhausted adrenal glands will cause whacked out hormones which is what my problem is.

I take TAD+ by Genestra (1 in the morning, 1 at night). It was recommended by my Naturopath.

Yep, I'm in this same boat. How long after starting adrenal supplements did you start noticing a difference? I have cut out all caffeine, begun regular exercise and taken Michael's Adrenal Factors (3 tablets at lunch) for about a month now, and I'm still pretty "pooped."

Have your thyroid checked and believe it or not- exercise a bit more. Make sure you're using a good multivitamin!

i too have the same problem but my tiredness also comes with muscle/joint pain and aches. i had an ANA and Prolactin level done and both were very HIGH. The Doc suggested Lupus and possibly a pituitary tumor. All my glucose tests were very normal. I am not anemic. I am still constantly tired and achy. I excericise everyday 1 hour. and i watch everything I eat. It still doesnt work.

I am being treated for hypothyroidism--my levels are finally within normal ranges again. I recently took a 12-hour saliva test for adrenal function-- my cortisol levels were very unstable throughout the day and high at night, and my DHEA-S was very low.

I am tired when I 1st get up but then during the day I am okay, but then when I get home at night I am tired. I dunno what it is. I do get 7 or 8 hrs of sleep. I use to go to bed around 11, 12 maybe later..but now I want to go to bed by 10:30. I dunno if it has to do with anything.

It wasn't really something I noticed right away...it was more of a gradual thing. I used to be incredibly tired when I first woke up (despite getting close to 10 hours of sleep), fine for the early morning, crash around 10 am, be fine until after lunch, have a HUGE crash around 2pm, and then be fine for the rest of the night. Now I find that, while I'm still really tired when I wake up in the morning, I can make it through the day without the desire to nap under my desk. I've been taking the TAD+ for almost 3 months, but looking back, I think I stopped thinking about naps after the first month of taking it.

Thanks, sgordon. I was so excited about trying out this product; but, unfortunately, because I have autoimmune hypothyroidism, I am not sure I can take it. One of the contraindications is autoimmune diseases, due to the use of concentrated bovine spleen... Bummer! Thanks for the info, anyway. So glad to hear adrenal fatigue can be combatted with something other than hydrocortisone!

I too stay extremely sleepy and dont feel like moving much. Im not on any meds besides prenatal vits but im not pg. I am ttc. I am just now getting ready to see a doc after 2+ yrs cause i havnt been able to get insurance. but soon i will have it. I am also soon to be going to the ymca and working out. and also gonna start the gi diet. When i see the doc i wanna ask for met. i believe it will help from what ive read from other women here. With all of this working together i should start feeling better and hopefully losing weight lol. Question though. What kind of vit's can i take while ttc? and when i do conceive, should i stop them and go to prenatal again? Thanks ladies and take care <3
