Exclamation TMI! AF gone wacko, more than ever!

I have had funky cycles since I started met 6 months ago. This one takes the cake on weirdness. Normal AF's for me, for reference, are 3 days long, start heavy, taper down. Quite simple, no spotting before or after, or any of that stuff. This time..I don't even know that this is an af!! Started Friday with some very very minor spotting, that continued, and was heavier on SAturday, enough to make me think I was starting, so I put in my divacup. Come Saturday night, all that was there was a tiny amount of very dark very thick blood. Tiny as in I shouldn't have bothered w/ the cup at all. Left it out Saturday night, no problems. Sunday when I got up, noticed it was kinda heavier spotting again, so I put the cup in again. Come Sunday evening, I take it out, and was greeted by the strangest thing I've ever seen!! Not blood, oh no..this was like, watery, with a tinge of brown, looked like a tiny mud puddle! Swear. So weird, I showed DH and he looked at me like I'd birthed an alien or something. So...okay, that's frickin weird. Left it out again sunday night, no problems. Didn't bother with it yesterday, had some spotting, nothing outstanding. Today, having pain, not cramps per se, but distinctly on the left side of where my uterus is. Not like on my side side, but probably 2-3 cm off the midline from my belly button. WTH is going on here?? In addition to these, I had insanely sore bbs for the past week and a half, lower GI fluctuations, and gas to kill a man.. I took a hpt last night just to see, and thought I saw the faintest of lines, but I am convinced it was just an evap line, cause I had to strain to even see it, and only at certain angles. Thoughts?? If AF doesn't show for real by lunch time, I'm going to go over to the store on my lunch hour and get a couple of HPT's, and see if those turn anything up. Any ideas whats going on, and has anyone ever heard of the watery, vaguely brown stuff?!

I'm having the same thing right now. I thought AF was coming (although it seemed a little early based on my temp charting), but all I'm getting is some watery brown stuff - occassionally! I've also had terrible, terrible gas - it sent DH out of the room a few times, but I thought it was more from cheating on my diet. I thought the watery brown was because this is my 3rd cycle off BCP, but I don't know..............Of course, I'm no help to you, because I haven't had this before either and have no idea what is it. I'd like to though.

So, after two days of the brownish, watery discharge, I finally got my period today - heavy! I also have such bad cramps that I didn't want to stand to teach. How are you doing?

How weird is that...I had some minor bleeding last night, so I put in the cup and thank goodness I did! And today is horrific...I'm sitting here at my desk, I swear I'm passing huge clots or something, it feels like something keep goings plop! Don't know, kinda afraid to go see! But lunch is in twenty minutes so I guess I'll have to bite the bullet and deal with it. So, apparently, I'm going to have a full-on, horrible AF. I tell ya though, soon as the new insurance kicks in, I'll be seeing anew doc to figure out why on earth things are going wonky. Hope our AF's chill it out and aren't so terrible soon!!

Hope this question isn't too personal, but how many days did you have the watery brown stuff? I'm having more spotting than liquid, but I haven't found any other relevant posts. thanks.

can I join too? I've had Af now since the 28th of August. I know, because it started on our anniversary,. It's been kinda off and on for the first week, and then this last week it's been terrible, one day will be a huge amount, and clots, and the next will be just a little spotting. I don't want to have to go to the Dr. But I might just have to. Anyone else's like this?

Oh can I join the AF marathon? LOL. Ive had AF for about 2 weeks now and I'm about ready to go insane. I was using NPC for about the past 3 months and was getting pretty regular and then I decided not to use it this month and see what happend. (not a good idea.) I tried starting the cream again to see if AF would go away and it just seemed to make it worse. Now all I can do is hope and pray that she'll buzz off soon because I don't know how much longer I can take this.

Have you ever had this problem before on BCP's? I ask because my doctor before was trying to regulate my period with them and I ended up bleeding for about 50 days straight. They kept changing the BCP's and nothing worked. Not trying to scare you but it's something to think about. My problem is the lining of my uterus is thickened from years of not having a period so... the constant onslaught of hormones was making my body shed the lining of it thus a constant period. So frustrating!! Good luck :- )

I LOVE IT! Reliable more so than any other product I've used, and more comfortable than any of them as well. Not to get too graphic, but I hated pads, they were gross, made a sqougey mess, ykwim? Tampons were okay, solved the mess problem, but I went through them SO fast, and they dried me out something bad on the inside.

Cup, none of those problems. Cheaper, I paid $30 one time. I'd have spent twice that in tampons just in the first year alone. And its high-grade silicone, so its good for about 10 years. Gets icky looking for whatever reason, boil it. Problem solved. My only complaint, albeit minor, is that the tiny holes ( 6 of them I think) around the top tend to get uh, stuff, stuck in them. I solved that one easily with an old toothbrush I don't use anymore, the bristles on a toothbrush slide right in perfectly and clean em right out!

On another note, I didnt realize my little thread had gotten so many new visitors!! Silly me thought it was done and gone

I'm soooo sorry you guys have the abominable AF's, I'd go batty if I had one that lasted that long! I get in a tissy if it lasts more than 4 days! Call me spoiled, I deserve it!

I didn't get my period for 5-6 months but then it started on it's own, very light on Aug 6th. The doc put me on provera for 10 days so that it would stop and then start again and then after it started I was supposed to start the BCPs. A day or 2 after starting the provera my period stopped and then about 2 days after that it came back, while I was still taking the provera. Then I started the BCPs on Sept 3 and I also stopped bleeding for all of a day about a week after I started, and since then it keeps getting heavier and heavier. I have an appointment next Tuesday...

What do you do to end the constant period??

Ok Ladies,
My AF finally came after 50CD and it's also brownish in color and not full blown. It came yesterday which i thought i was going to get a full blown one but this morning its still brownish. What do you think it could be from. I want AF to show up in full force.

Amy, have you talked to your Dr about doing a round of provera? Even a longer round than usual might help.. I really don't know, I have never had excessively long periods.
