I cannot believe I'm about to ask this. I've been on met for...uh, like 2 weeks. No big side effects other the usual strange bathroom stuff (not weird, just different), occasional heartburn and digestive stuff. All caused by my own stupidity and stubbornness. But here ya go.....TMI. Anyone get itchy....not in the usual yeast infection way? More, um...towards the rear? GOD that's a little embarrassing.... I've been itchy in other places, like my wrists, back, and the very edge of my hair line (all of them....). But the butt thing is annoying! It's not constant, thank goodness, but it's often enough.

I just started taking it. I have only taken two pills and this morning I am feeling nausea (sp?) but I guess that is a side effect. I hope it goes away soon!! No itching...yet
YOu know, you are probley itchy because of the loose BM's and maybe extra irritation from wiping. I have been on Met since 2001 and sometimes I still get that. I love baby wipes!

Counting the days until my husband comes home from Afghanistan, December 4th at 8:33pm, but hey who's counting?!
I just started met so I can't tell you from personal experience, but I talked to my aunt who was on it , and she had warned me that while she was on it she had an itchy rash between her legs and that general "down there" area as well as under her breast. They had to change her medicine. You should prob. keep an eye on it, if it gets worse call the dr.
it could be allergies to the med or from wiping too much. Try unscented baby wipes and don't wash the are with soap use something like masengill makes a wash for your ummmmm vagina that is soap free.

I think it's probably irritation, you're right. When I'm allergic to something, it's in a big hive-y kind of way, and while this sucks, it's not that bad. In fact, has been better for a day or two. Nice. Thank you all for advice (and comfort!!)
