TMI. Has anyone ever had AF so bad...read on if you dare...
Seriously this is TMI and I apologize now ..
Last nite I was up every 2 hours soaked thru my super duper tampon (I felt the leak so got up) . The 2nd time I got up the clotting was so bad when I pushed .. my tampon came out with it !!! A super !!
Has this ever happened to anyone ? This is ridiculous...I have had AF for months now and I just finished taking Provera for 10 days so I know thats why I have it heavier but this is insane...The clotting is equally as bad this morning and it feels like my insides are peeling off...
Do I need a clean out ? D&C maybe ?
I am so frustrated and angry and TIRED from being up all friggen nite then having to get up with the kids and having to deal with my DH I just want to crawl under a rock

In your post you said you have had AF for months...did you mean you HAVEN'T had AF for months?
When I was first diagnosed, I had AF for 3 months straight, put on BC and the first AF after the BC I had clots and REALLY heavy. The next month was better and the next even better.
Mine did go back to a "normal" but I would mention this to your doctor.
I had that once in high school, it was that heavy for a week before I told my mom about it (super embarrassing conversation) and then it was another week before we got an appt with the gyno. It was so horrible! But the gyno said it was because I hadn't had AF in so long that it was just all gushing out at once. I'm not familiar with Provera so I don't know how that affects things, but in any case I think you should call your gyno and see if s/he thinks you should come in.

I had that constantly. It was because I didn't have AF for so long, and then when I got it, it was like five AF's put together. So that's probably why it's so heavy. It happens to me a lot too until I was put on BCP. Since then of course my periods have been normal enough that I don't have that heavy of periods!!
Good luck!

Oh and I personally hate using pads. HATE IT. I get all sore down there because it's so moist and chaffing occurs. Not fun at all!

I might call the doctor. If you're soaking a tampon within 2 hours, that's usually not good. Especially the clotting. Calll to your doctor's answering service (since it's Sunday today) just to be on the safe side. Good luck and keep us updated!
Yes I've had that - I was soaking a super tampon and I pad about every 30 minutes with HUGE clots. I got scared and went to hospital and they ran some tests and said I was fine, and sent me home with some Transemic Acid tablets. I'd had a lightish AF for about 3 months straight before that, and it carried on for about 2 months after. I've had many other super-heavy 'flooding' incidents since. I had a D&C and all was fine for a while, but then it began all over again.
That was a few years ago but I've noticed that things are a lot better since I lost a couple of pounds. I'm still very big, but as soon as I go over a certain point (and the difference is very small), I start to get issues again.
Yes I have had it for a few months ! LOL Here and there it gets worse then it gets light but always I have to wear at least a bigger panty liner...
Its still bad today, last nite at work I was sitting and it was every 90 mins I started to leak thru the super tampon with the giant clots...
I mostly wear tampons becuz I cant stand to be "messy"
My whole insides are sore, my back and sides are too...
oh and now I have pink eye and a cold
Going to try and start taking iron today and see if that helps .. i feel so drained .. literally !!
And I am going to try and lose a few pounds...I know it helps (I recently lost and then gained back 50 pounds) and when I was down I know other than feeling better my periods were coming more "normal like" so it does help...
Thanks ladies...I will be talking to the dr (going this morning)

My uterus feels like its peeling itself off and whats coming out is proving the feeling still !
I just took an Iron pill so I hope that helps a little...however I am going to take an Advil so that will probly counteract that...the double pink eye i have is hurting too ! LOL

Please don't be alarmed. I go through this aswell whenever AF decides to rear her ugly head. I have woke up many nights barely being able to get out of bed because I know if my legs arent shut tight enough I'm going to "explode"
Last year I bled for 102 days straight, and it was a very hard time for me.
I was also extremely tired, and irritable from lack of sleep.
I hope things calm down for you.

I agree to take Iron tablets. Any menstrating woman should take them. I too have the super heavy period problem. I have had to start wearing pads as well to prevent leaks and stains. I use Kotex Super and bleed right thru them in less than an hour. It just gushes like a river. I would try wearing pads as well.
I know how you feel. I do this every month. AF is a monthly thing for me and every month, I have to use super plus tampons and a long maxi with wings. I soak through them in an hour. Before I started Metformin, AF would last 7 days and 3 days were that heavy. Now that I am on metformin, levemir and byetta, I only have one day that bad. The other 4 are light. When its like that, I am afraid to leave the bathroom. I just want to stay home and lay in bed all day long, but i can't. It has gotten better not only with met and other meds, but also with losing some weight too. I absolutely hate AF.
