Unhappy *TMI* NASSY INFECTION... have i misdiagnosed?

Ok, last Wednesday I started getting kindof itchy down there... then I noticed the whitish cottage cheesy discharge tyical of *gasp* YEAST when i went to the bathroom... I've had a few yeast infections in the past from antibiotics so I immediately started applying the plain yogurt which has worked within a few days every single time in the past.. but not this time so saturday evening i went to walmart for an over the counter yeast treatment .. ended up with a 3 day combo pack... tonight is the last night of the treatment and the symptoms seem to be about the same as in still discharging the whitish stuff (TMI-- but its not as chunky like), itching, burning, lots of irritation with occasional light bleeding that shows up pinkish on TP gross i know (which may be from occasionally scratching Shame on me I know) I have noticed that if I sit in a warm bath and wash it thoroughly the itching and burning stops for a while

Ok ladies I need your expertise-- does this sound like the dreaded and stubborn yeast? are there other infections that have these symptoms?

One more thing I havent had my monthly yet.. havent missed one in like a year and a half... advice please

forgot to mention there is no bad odor with the discharge???????

Hi Cysta,
No smell, and cottage cheese, sounds like a yeast infection, but if you cannot get it to subside, you might need to see a doc for something stronger, and to rule out anything else, just in case that missed period is something more (hehe). And your missed period might be because of a hormonal shift which is bringing on the yeast infection. But for the interim there are other things you can do along with yogurt...just in case that missed period is something more (hehe).
Yogurt, both orally, and direct application... Eating it treats it from the inside out with acidophilus, a very good bacteria for your system. Yeast lives in your intestines all the time, and acidophilus helps keep it in check.
Let it breathe! No jeans, no synthetic panties it what they usually tell you, but go a step further and go totally bottomless around the house with the shades down. And for sure, sleep bottomless. You can take a note from nudist etiquette(sp) and drape your chair/couch with a towel if you are worried about leaving a slug trail, lol. And if you insist on panties... cotton only. But try your best to let things breath. I know most of this might be things you have already heard, but I hope it helps some

Try straight acidophius ... in both directions (mouth and vaginally). Yogurt is good but I think you need bigger quanties of acidophius. Try cutting out anything with yeast & Sugar (one one piece of fruit a day).

Have your doctor check your sugar levels, i fought with the yeast infection from h*** for almost a year before someone finally told me my sugars were high...I have been yeast infection free for 2 years now!!!!
